    Hilbert, what does AMD mean with DirectX12.1? Didn't know DX12 had a small bump.

    Feature level D3D12_1 I guess. :)

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feature_levels_in_Direct3D

    Currently I believe only Intel is fully compatible with this (EDIT: Or perhaps not entirely.) with it's newest on-die GPU's although it doesn't really mean too much from what I know.

    Guess that means AMD supports those rasterization features now?

    If this chart is real it seems that Vega will be the first GPU to support everything in hardware. Also from the specs the card has a 1.6GHz clock, which is quite high for what I expected out of a professional/aircooled GPU with these specs. It's also higher than the 1.5GHz clocks revealed for the MI25 Instinct cards.

    Conservative rasterization and rasterizer-ordered views, should help a lot in games with lots of foliage and smoke effects

    You're saying that as though it's a marketing term Nvidia made up or only Nvidia uses, when in fact it's been a well-established term for decades:

    Interesting pricing on what is essentially a Titan xp/ quadro competitor.

    Also with 16gb of HBM2. Consumer Vegas will have 8gbs correct?

    I don't see how you understood his comment in that way... It seemed to me he was simply stating that Nvidia was targeting the Titan Xp at the "Deep Learning" market. In other words this card from AMD is meant to compete directly with the Titan Xp. You seem a little sensitive there Friend.. ***128522;

    If you read the article, you're looking at it. It's even offering twice the power of a standard GTX1070, more infact by a massive 0.1 Tflops! Start saving! :nerd:

    the article says its vega 10 frontier edition, which is the workstation/quadro card. regular vega 10 RX for gaming have separate SKUs & probably wont come with 16gb

    The reason Im quoting it like that, is not nvidia related, its being used in a dumb marketing wanky way in general. amd markets "deep learning" exactly the same way.

    This is just my opinion, no need to start trouble.:wanker:
