I just upgraded my video card from a Voodoo 3 3500 16MB with tvout support, and it wonderful for the past two years, however, the support for windows 2000 has been limited, and they went out of business. So i decided to buy a new one, but i needed one that would support tv out. So i decided to buy an ATI, my friend warned me cause he had bad experiences so i gave it a shot. Installing the drivers was a pain but i got through them in about 3 hr, ( i installed in both win2k and 98 since i have both). In either OS, i cannot out put to the tv, it has a red X over the tab, and the little green enable, disable is grayed out for everything including my monitor. I tried updating the drivers, and still nothing. Can anyone please help me, I dont know where to go from here
if all else fails i'll stick to my old voodoo3, or go out and buy a different model, but i'd really appreciate any help i can get guys.
Well well you bought an ati card. I can say from experience that they are one of the best video cards out there. As a matter of fact I have the Same exact video card as you and I had a similar problem. First you have to make sure that you switch your tv to tv/vcr or video on mode than click the display tab where the tv and the monitor are founf and turn off the monitor and then click on the tv. I hope this fixes your problem if not i have a feiw more ideas
