Sure - thank you for your wisdom, and goodbye to you Sir.
WHQL sign is required to put the driver on the Windows Update Servers & Catalog or for Window compatibility logo print on retail boxes. As for 2014 Microsoft does no longer ask for fees for non-server driver versions (Verisign&co certifications fees still apply). WHQL sign also suppress a warning messages installation (which can be suppressed for all signer drivers by user). WHQL software tests can be executed by third party company too with the certification hardware kit.
Summary: WHQL doesn't mean "non beta" or whatever, in all cases the quality of drivers are left to the third party companies.
17.9.2 still jerky with panning the camera around in SWTOR. Requires to set FlipQueue using RadeonMod to correct. (I use 1, Default of 3 is still jerky)
It is not ATI since 2006, get that fact in mind and move on...
Is there any kind of eta on "Overwatch™ may experience a random or intermittent hang on some system configurations." fix ?
still no overwatch crash fix makes me sad. I wonder if this is a blizzard problem.
AMD_Downlink said on reddit that they are still working on it, and looking for more feedback.
AMD does well, Vega 64 about 10fps faster than the 1080, only Ti beats it.
Wow. I go off for a day drinking with my partner for his birthday, and miss all the drama...just had to say it. Kudos once again Hilbert for taking care of the issue.
Anyone else having stutter in Project Cars 2 with this driver?
Working like a charm, also OK in BF1 & R6 siege, FH3 & Apex + FM7 Demo
I'm glad to hear that you're having a blast, but it sucks that I can't enjoy my game, oh well, maybe it's a game issue.
How much stutter, the odd one or constantly?
Hell yeah in Project cars 2 i have Black holes on some Roads with this Driver
If you guys play PES 18, don't use this driver. It's a disaster for that game. You'll get low FPS in fullscreen mode, no matter the resolution or graphics settings. At least that is what you get on R9 270X, but I think same will be on other cards as well.
No precise benchmark numbers, but I think this driver improved default settings pCARS2 framerates for me, comparing it and previous driver with vsync off.
I've problems with this driver to function with my monitor, a Dell UP2715K on two displayports (mst).
After the installation the screen stays black, out of synch and after a while the pc reboots itself with only a lower res. and with one GPU disabled in devicemanager. Enabling back causes the same black screen again. Radeon settings mentions there is no screen connected with AMD products, also no mention of crossfire/multi-GPU.
This is on a fresh W10 install.
One note, the system worked just fine with windows 7 in multi-GPU, so the GPU's aren't defective.
Some new Tweak:
Set: HiberbootEnabled to 0 (0 is Off, 1 is On)
It will force Windows to load all Devices & drivers for it, otherwise is set to Fast Boot.
My 2 R9 290X Crossfire dosnt work in Project Cars 2. Saw it in MSI Afterburner.
does force msaa ssaa etc via crimson work in dx12 like forza 7 demo and in borderless window games ?
