Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.11.4 Highlights
    Support For:

    • Oculus™ Dash Open Beta
    • DOOM® VFR
    Fixed Issues:

    • Adjusting HBCC segment size on Radeon RX Vega series graphics products may cause system instability on certain configurations.
    • A system hang may be experienced when switching display modes in Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II on certain Radeon graphics products in a Crossfire configuration.
    • Incorrect power and clock values may be reported on some Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.
    Known Issues:

    • Some desktop productivity apps may experience latency when dragging or moving windows.
    • Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Siege may experience an application hang when breaching walls with grenades or explosives.
    • Rise of the Tomb Raider™ may experience an intermittent application hang during gameplay.
    • A random system hang may be experienced after extended periods of use on system configurations using 12 GPU's for compute workloads.
    • The GPU Workload feature may cause a system hang when switching to Compute while AMD CrossFire is enabled. A workaround is to disable AMD CrossFire before switching the toggle to Compute workloads.
    • Resizing the Radeon Settings window may cause the user interface to stutter or exhibit corruption temporarily.
    • Unstable Radeon WattMan profiles may not be restored to default after a system hang.
    • OverWatch™ may experience a random or intermittent hang on some system configurations. Disabling Radeon ReLive as a temporary workaround may resolve the issue.
    • Radeon RX Vega series graphics products may intermittently experience stability issues while enabling/disabling HBCC.

The usual comparison with atiapfxx.exe, there's not much but there's been some changes. :)

    17.11.2:
    17.40.2511_20171115_1758

    17.11.4
    17.40.2511.1015_20171127_1807

So besides the date the driver also gets a further bump to .1015 (17.11.3 bumping it to .768 if I remember correctly.)

    Crossfire profile flag changes:

    Star Wars Battlefront 2
    Destiny 2

These are a bit big to quote directly, interestingly the first flag for SWBF2 is bumped from 0x24 to 0x29 although without knowing further what these mean it's hard to say if this is anything significant, for Destiny 2 it's just a bump from 0x22 to 0x23
(Version makes sense to me but I'm not 100% sure though the SWBF2 flag sees a lot of other changes from what I see from a simple Notepad++ comparison via the Compare plugin.)

    DXX profile flag changes:

    PUBG

Also several differences to this games various flags or properties, DirectX related maybe but again I'm not 100% on what these really mean and even less so for these bit flags or what they correspond to, still something was tweaked for this game and the above CF profiles. :)

Thats a windows problem, not driver related. ;)

I finally upgraded from 17.10.1 and this is the first driver that has Compute/Graphics toggle on R9 Fury. Switching requires Radeon Settings restart which takes 3-5 seconds.

No thanks. Suppose my old 290 wont get any performance upgrade with any drivers these days anyway. I need to stop trying to get more power from nothing lol. "AMD made for miners".

The GPU has been tapped out, and not forgotten. Quit crying.

290's peak is in history. I wouldn't expect anything more from it perf wise. If anything it peaked over a year ago.

Idk why people think that newer drivers will ALWAYS give your aging gpu 10+ fps.

Why even bother upgrading then, when you can just sit with old hardware and just beg for AMD/Nvidia to just keep boosting the same cards over and over. That's almost like downloading more ram.

Yes, you will see perf boosts when you have a brand new card and the drivers are not 100% optimized yet. After a few months though, that's it.

I have about 5 min load times too. I'm on 17.11.1. Haven't upgraded yet. Also have game on an SSD too.
At least I can go make a sandwich while the game loads.

Performance is great for me too.

Meh, part of a chrome tab was garbled with green artifacts after leaving it unseen for a while. Doing anything to scroll/refresh makes it render properly. I've had this problem occasionally for some driver versions, probably since the CU Fall update branch, if not earlier.
