    An overhyped store only known for the dead UT or for the name of holy Fortnite. Earth should be dead instead of Mars. Epic games are getting cocky out of nowhere :D.

    Not that I am complaining one bit for fast driver update, but for a game store? The news to me.

    They are willing to take on Steam store and Google play store by themselves, so, it is a big thing just started I guess. Its most popular game Fortnite is the #2 on the planet after League Of Legends. Also developers using Unreal Engine, are gonna have more profit from the games sold there.

    At a guess it's probably support for a web browser component such as Chromium and ensuring full functionality, there's profiles for most game clients and web browsers in the AMD drivers already such as for hardware accelerated browsing or other components as used by these. :)

    That's what I'm thinking it is at least, Epic Game Launcher was likely supported too already and if this is similar it was probably easy to extend support for the Epic Game Client too and ensure there's no compatibility issues.
    (Which both AMD and NVIDIA have had intermittent problems with Chrome, Firefox and other web browsers so not bad to ensure early support and functionality.)

    EDIT: Hmm one new OpenGL profile, no other differences via Atiapfxx.blb when compared.

    <profile Area="OGL" Usage="HadesProfile">
    <value Property="MCCaps1">0x08000001</value>
    <value Property="MCCaps2">0x00003000</value>
    <value Property="nvetjwerj2425t">False</value>
    </profile>

    Driver version is slightly increased from 18.40.11.09 to 18.40.11.10 from November 22nd to November 30th.

    18.40.11.09_20181122_0406 -> 18.40.11.10_20181130_1039

    The big one can't be far now?

    I wouldn't be surprised if it's days. They must have a different team working on that one.

    What does this driver do exactly? Add hardware acceleration support for their program or what?

    The first time I used Omega drivers, it was for the Riva TNT.

    They were optimised drivers, community made. Omega Detonator.

    This was years ago. :)

    I do remember reading something along those lines. Of course, it's been many years, but I still remember getting that extra little bit of performance out of my not so top of the line graphics, and barely being able to run the new accelerated graphics enhanced games at the time.

    Hope it all turned out OK for him.

    Yes, I remember. In fact, that's why I first came here, looking for Omega drivers!

    I would bet most of the older members first came here for drivers, at around the same time.

    Edit.

    Yes, I have a lot of good memories of those days. Played GTA 3 on the Riva TNT 2 and spent countless hours playing Oblivion on this little sucker here:

    Anyone else think this forum needs a name change now, from the AMD Radeon Catalyst Drviers Section, seen as the Catalysts are long dead ? :p
