It would have been nice if the 5700 series could enable/use Sam.

Yes a few of us are using it BUT for me 21.5.2 is better, the windows update driver causes stutters in days gone even using dxvk

and lower fps in some other titles

This driver whql 21.5.2 casues stuttering a LOT on Days gone. Sometimes goes unplayable, stuttering, fps drops (30 fps). 6800XT Red devil, 8700k 5ghz and 16 gb 4000 Mhz CL16 here. 1440p ultra.

8700k is same performance as 10400/11400f. It should drive even 6900xt. Also, didnt notice Days Gone is that cpu heavy.

Well the game uses 94% of my 3700X just loading, granted in game it around 20%

but im willing to bet its the intel cpus struggling with the ports

    have stuttering with 3800x
tho it`s almost always not the "real" stuttering, but known "slowdowns"

An 8700k at 5ghz matches a Ryzen 5600X (I know this because I have an i7 8086k @ 5ghz and I match a Ryzen 5600X) and because of the better IPC and higher clock speed over Ryzen 3xxx the 8700k @ 5ghz should be better than a 3700X in most, if not all, games and should definitely not stutter. BTW I am no Intel fan and wish I had a Ryzen 5xxx series though I compared benchmarks with a 5600X when they were on sale recently and came to the conclusion that it would not be an upgrade at all so I am waiting for Ryzen 6xxx to out; not an Intel fan at all!

You can have ipc through the roof if you reach 100% usage its gonna stutter. Thats why 8c/16t cpus have more headroom than 6c/12t.

Try running "C:\Program Files\AMD\CNext\CNext\cncmd.exe exit" instead of force killing the processes. It's the clean way to stop Radeon Software and the Host Services. They will start back up if you open up Radeon Software or reboot. Also, using the "restart" argument instead of exit will restart the services cleanly. Radeon Software Slimmer will do this for you too, and tell you which processes are running.

I prefer to have it (In clean state) after it restarts, then it's fine, so it's quicker that way.
BFV no longer crashes randomly -> Done.

Guys when you play Days Gone, is one of your cpu core loaded 100% while low fps/stuttering occurs?

My cpu is only loaded near full at loading

    when playing its nearer 20%

it stutters more when riding a bike or turning the camera fast, i do have the game on an ssd so texture streaming from my end should be good
