Using freesync when you disable vsync?
hello, earlier today I tried to install this version (radeon-software-adrenalin-21.2.2-beta-vrt-feb15.exe)
on my RX Vega56 on Windows10 1909, the driver installed OK, but when it came to the installation of HDMI Audio, there was an error, it installs but the sound does not work, I reverted to version 20.12.1 and it is working all ok.
You do not need hdmi drivers.
I had this exact thing happen with Age of Empires II Definitive Edition with DXVK (Vulkan) with some older driver (can't remember which, but it wasn't this one or 21.1.1). I just chalked it up to DXVK at the time.
I think I have Vsync off now though, but also no flickering. I'm using the Async build of DXVK.
Aoe, Aoe II and Aoe iii, definitive editions run smoothly. What do you expect to gain from this all around idiotic sorcery dxvk?
Adrenalin 2020 Edition 21.2.2 Beta with Vulkan® Synchronization 2 Extension
HDMI Audio Devices may fail to install on Radeon RX 400 and Radeon RX 500 series graphics products.
Anxiously awaiting AMD big Adrenalin release next month, my card is so ready!
There should be one? If you say so ...
Didnt amd said its coming on march with the super resolution fidelityfx or they just talking bs again?
Well, it's supposed to be a big Spring release, March to May, so I'm keepin' my fingers crossed for March....
Don't get bent out of shape man. I was just asking since when I have OC's on it crashes, stock clocks it runs flawless. So please, do not take it the wrong way.
Sometimes I forget and it crashes. Was asking to see if it was something going on for you as well since you OC.
I guess vanguard beta testers knows squat.
Earlier I couldn't run Port Royal test from 3DMark (free version). But now I did it and I had no problem. I finished the test with default driver settings (no clock, no increased power limit). Then I tried with 1.0V, power limit +15 and 2700 MHz - it was ok too.
So it's still a mystery the crashing Quake II RTX with default settings and stock clock.
Can someone else with Red Devil 6800 XT confirm that this game works fine? Because this card isn't with reference PCB design.
Few of us with RX580s having the same problems…I’m gonna wait for the next driver, to lazy to dig for the right one, just wanted to try free Rage2.
pretty much 60fps ultra settings 1080p with rx580.
I'm not sure unless it could be something with package installers? Maybe it's missing an updated vulkan file for some reason? Would think all that would be packaged with the AMD drivers. My card isn't the reference PCB design either. I'm not sure what to say here it's definitely a mystery.
I gain slightly more points in the ranked benchmark with DXVK vs D3D11. Nothing all that significant really.
If I can use DXVK without graphical issues or crashes, and if it gains any kind of performance benefit, I use it.
Just had BSOD with this ones watching Youtube:
This was probably caused by the following module: amdkmdag.sys (0xFFFFF804509EE850)

...going back to 20.1.1 they were stable ones, these latest ones suck performance and stability wise.
@passenger We have the same card.
rage at least on epic when i play it, has zero similarity with the game fluidity of the video mine is totally bad.
