Other then the hardware acceleration issue in Chrome all is good. But I also now just install the basic driver through device manger and use Afterburner for OC and fan control, I've done this for the last few drivers.
What card do you have, I have a 5700xt and so do 2 of my friends and we all experience texture problems.
Every time you install a new driver the game automatically redoes the shaders or you can force it to redo them in game so I was just curious why it worked for you when you deleted that file.
I'm glad it works for you.
Vega 56 (with 64 BIOS.)
Yes, maybe the problem is the 5700 series of cards.
But, I had that problem with the textures (Eyes of the single player characters where radiating red and or invisible.)
AMD just pushed out a new Chipset update for Ryzen boards today. Revision Number 2.01.15.2138.
BF5 players report please
This doesn't crash BF5,monitor and system anymore?
Don't know, best way is to try it out yourself. Everyone has different system setups so what might be happening with you and others may not be the same for someone else. Test and if you're having issues, report it to AMD.
Radeon Overlay is working
It just defaults settings with 0% Transparency....
Everything is fine so far, better than 20.1.1
BFV (DX11) = OK
Division 2 (DX12) = OK
Forza H4 = OK
Hey guys! Yesterday I installed this driver(adrenalin 20.1.2) with DDU + AMD Clean Up utility and I haven't had any problems so far. However since Adrenalin 20.1.1 I have this bug that after playing Quake Champions I am not able to open adrenalin settings, only if I close the AMD Server and Radeon Settings applications in task manager. The driver is smooth on my MSI RX5700XT Evoke, I gained a few more FPS in Battlefield V maybe, but not a huge difference anyway. However I still have the problem in some games that don't use GPU intensely that GPU aggressively downclocks that is a little bit annoying, but I don't have this issue so often like others. I recommend changing fan profile in Wattman to a little bit higher and set power limit to 0%. If I set power limit to +20%, I get 2000Mhz almost all the time in Battlefield V and I have +8 +10FPS but I get huge micro stutters that is unberable in multiplayer situations. So let's set it to +0%, change the fan profile and enjoy your high FPS. Cheers guys!
still crash for me
reverted to 19.12.1 and again works like a charm
Who told you it crashes? It isn't bad for everyone. It plays smOOth here since day1.
Vega 64 with LC bios
Remember always do a clean install
Star citizen got better fps from this driver hehe
Looks like game specific perf tuning profiles are messing with global one.
I have global one on default automatic. never touched it.
Created tuning profile for darksiders 1 by adding exe manually - epic store games are not detected. It has simple graphics so turned power limit to -50 and I did set all gpu states to 600. With these settings gpu has ~70% load in game with some reshade added and vsync@60, so all is dandy and works nice.
Fun starts when I exit darksiders 1 and start any different game that has no tuning profile so global auto default should be used. Instead it runs with gpu@600. Facepalm, whats the point of all these settings if touching anything is a disaster
Ok radeon software does not like msi afterburner/rtss which I have running all the time
After closing Darksiders 1, I have to close and open AB. Then next game will use global profile correctly. Not restarting AB after exiting from Darksiders 1 causes next game to use Darksiders 1 profile with 600 clock. WUT?
BF5 smooth???? You must be the only one or you don't have 5700?
Don't know if you can see this screen shot but it was taken on Hackney Yard under the flyover at A behind the crate. All maps have this problem to some extent, very annoying.
I had the problem of things resetting...
Tried making profiles for the other games as a workaround?
its not resetting. its like game specific perf profile gets stuck globally, until AB is restarted
see edit of the post
Yes, can see it.
Report it to AMD https://www.amdsurveys.com/se/5A1E27D23A3DE966
Fixed mine to be clearer - was quite late where I am...)
May still want to try the suggested.
