    That was quick, and unexpected.

Probably too soon for any meaningful updates for most.

Are you on an Insider build? Normally Windows Update should not override manually installed drivers.

Normally it shouldn't however with 18.12.2 Microsoft also released a driver that was a few days newer (18.12.2 was dated December 6th even if t was released December 13th.) so for anyone not having disabled Windows Update handling device drivers this overwrote 18.12.2 / Adrenaline 2019 with whatever was on the update catalog from Microsoft's server.

That shouldn't happen with 18.12.3 however dated December 17th so that's a bit odd if it happened again with a more recent driver release.
(However Catalyst Settings might go WTFMan and suggest 18.12.2 as a newer recommended display driver but it won't do anything unless you tell it to start the "update" to this driver.)

EDIT: Oh right, if two drivers have the same version number (25.20 here for this driver, I believe is the one used not the 18.50 package version.) then the newest file date wins.

Installed this driver and after restart radeon settings notifies about newer driver available. Installed 18.12.3, radeon software suggest 18.12.2 as newer driver to update to.

Fan speed stuck on 48% never shuts off with these despite gpu reading 16c, no problem on last set.

Just rolled back to 18.12.2 & the fan is working as it should, tried installing the newer ones 3 times could not get the fan to shut off once it had kicked in no matter how cool the gpu got.

Got a response from amd on it

    Response and Service Request History:

    Thank you for your Email:

I have received similar issue from other users. I suggest you to please use previous working driver version. i will make a note of the issue and report it internally

    Thank you for contacting AMD.

finally game explorer isnt laggy for me now. and the upgrade adviser is working now.

    oops spoke too soon.

    still laggy

clicking Gaming tab results in not responding and sometime crashes.

They need to optimize the Game Explorer section to handle large amount of games.

clicking Game Adviser and then clicking Game Explorer results in blank page for almost 1 minute and then page fills with the games list....

It does still switch resolutions/refresh rates for a second when you alt+tab out of a full screen application. This is so annoying. Sometimes alt+tab'ing out does change monitor resolution and alt+tab'ing back in doesn't. This is so weirdly broken right now...

Or Install 18.12.2 then Upgrade to 18.12.3 ;)

Good driver (IMO it's a little better in terms of tW) :D
