AMD/ATI has the most stupid software to control their hardware, not to mention the installers.

try to search for RadeonSoftwareVersion in windows registry and change it manually to 18.3.1 as it may stick to old version even if you update

You will find it many times under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001 and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet

I hope this may fix the issue not sure though

What he's saying is just use DDU don't bother with the AMD uninstaller and then install 18.3.1

Help only uninstall Radeon settings and install from 18.2.2 drivers. This is bug
    Edit:
18.4.1 drivers and this problem is not resolved. I'm tired with AMD...

I managed to fix this problem by editing registry:
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AMD\CN]
    "DriverVersion"=""
Now restart RadeonSettings.exe process or restart windows

    Nope.avi. Problem also on W10.

OK thx this working. Tested on 18.3.4 version.

Instruction for 18.3.4 version only and older!!:
    1. Kill RadeonSettings.exe
    2. Go to regedit and delete value in "DriverVersion" (Backup this value)
    3. Run RadeonSettings.exe and RadeonSettings.exe crash, this is normal
    4. Kill RadeonSettings.exe if is running
    5. Restore value in "DriverVersion"
    6. Run RadeonSettings.exe and all is OK

Tested on 18.5.2 and "DriverVersion" must be empty!! If you restore this value, this error back.
