Losing costumers is never good for business, especially on the long term.
They might get a bit more profit short term, but more and more people will choose some other platform to play games. And that's a lost costumer for a long time, if not forever.
Now there is the excuse for the chip and component shortage. But when things normalize, prices have to come down.

I am so glad i got a ps5, there just no way i buy anything gpu with prices being this stupid, and sad part is this scalping can be stopped, it just not gonna be. i mean crap 1070ti cards are being listed at 1000+ new even the used card prices are MORE then i payed. and i payed 450$.

I love my PC and still prefer gaming on PC but till this insanity ends PC game might as well be dead to me. I hope Intel has keeper for GPU that are not inflated MSRP cause current issue. and they actual try to stop the scalping. any store caught scalping cards or allow 3rd party and or individuals. scalp the cards should be black listed from ever getting stock watch how fast online retailers and stores brick or other wise stop.

I seriously want new gpu but just no way i paying the inflated MSRP let alone scalped prices.

 

All shops do this.
On one side, if the warehouse charges extra, shops are forced to sell higher.
On the other, if they know it will sell regardless and people will be bothering them for stock for the next couple weeks, why not sell at a premium? It sucks, but the fault is on people who buy hundreds of cards for mining: not enough stock to flood the market and keep prices MSRP.

 

Get us a job that allows us to afford these cards then.
Or donate us the money to "up our game".
