Most probably. For a 150$ or less that would a very nice card.
It should be on the 380x ballpark, with possible improvements as drivers improve (because of the new architecture). Not bad for a $150 card.
Wait Wait Wait. you realize that would make it as fast as the 480 right??????
Come on now lets stop this hype right now.
Well stock 290 gets 10k gpu score or did get. That is why I think it would be between 290 and 280x tad faster then 280x/380x for sure since same amount of shaders but higher clock and some improvements here and there.
Not even close as fast as a rx 480.
My bad I was thinking 290x for some reason.
So you are expecting this to be a Tonga replacement.
Yup I fully expect it to replace Tonga and give tad more performance for a good price and hopefully this time the wattage 120 is real.
Hope they don't make that mistake again. Any clue when we start seeing 3rd party 480's? I want to see what custom boards, cooling and BIOS's do for that card.
I am hoping in 1-2 weeks. Haven't found any solid info anywhere. I am thinking some of the custom boards might drop the wattage on rx 480 if not overclocked by much.
