    Which sites?

I know it's annoying, but it works both ways.
If the reviews are full of AMD optimised games then people would claim they were paid off by AMD.
As long as there is a good mixture of games then it's hard to complain.

Saying that, i thought Bioshock Infinte was an AMD sponsored game, don't know about Grid2 though.

Just did a quick calculation and this would likely be around £1100 here in the UK, expensive considering you could pick up two liquid cooled 290x's for £1000, but it's not Titan Z expensive so i'm sure these will still sell well enough.

You should get even better performance with a custom block. Reason why its fast is because it has aio cooling. Slap a block on it to cool the whole card and not part of it should increase performance and stability.

Really nice card! Price is less than expected, and could force NV to backoff the price of the Titan Z. :)

How's the frame pacing with crossfire + eyefinity on the 290 series? Is it fixed hardware side or only driver side in DX11? My 2x 7970 were fast, but hell it was a stuttering mess in Eyefinity :-/

Not sure the VRMs have a whole lot more to give TBH.

Pretty good it seems .. only Skyrim is still not optimized .... ( there's still the simple method of fix v-sync and framerate )

DP can handle 4k @ 60Hz. Also, I was reading something the other day that mentioned a new DP standard was to be released later this year that will allow 8K @ 60Hz

As I was saying back in the day.

All of the HD 4 series and below was lowered to legacy, so of course it's nothing close to great now.

At least it looks like they are getting cheaper. So that may change.

sub $1k, G-Synced @ 144Hz and I might consider one. Until then, I'll stick with my garbage Asus vg248qe.

I would have liked Eyefinity comparison of this card. But anyway page 24 of review...

    Battlefield 4

    Top: R9 295x2 120FPS
Next most powerful (non SLI): 7990 90FPS

The R9 295x2 is on sale at Scan for £1127.15

    I bought a 7990 a few months ago for £371.75

That's a massive difference in price!...

I get your point but you cant really compare directly those two for various reasons.

Although personally I would value the 295x2 at £800-900.

Wasn't the 7990 over £1000 when it first appeared too though? And literally 6 months later they were flogging them off at less than £400.

Probably won't happen with this card but I don't think I'd pay even £800 for it given that it might do.

And another thing bugging me - the GPU2 99% bug is STILL there even with latest 14.4 WHQL driver. And I have to leave my machine on 24/7 so I CAN'T use one of the main advertised reasons I upgraded from older less power efficient card. Have to disable it off in Afterburner and then both GPUs idle 24/7 @ 300Mhz instead of GPU2 just turning off completely!! :bang: Any other consumer product we would have right under consumer law to return it because it does not do what it was advertised to do...

Apparently dropped $500 in price today...AMD are expecting something from nVidia soon, I guess lol...(can't imagine it's because of the Titan-Z thing...or a Hawaii refresh...)
