How's the temps on the stock 4870 with the latest drivers etc? I'm considering on buying one but I'm no fan of heat :p
Do these cards also declock and devolt when not strained as the GTX2x0 series does?

Hey, i am using modfied bios from asus and my temperatures are quite low.

    IDLE : 60C ( Closed case!)
    LOAD : 73C (on Furmark)

    You shouldnt be worried imo.
As for voltage droping featture.. ( called Powerplay) it is not working :(

    Thanks for the reply.
Is the problem with powerplay hardware or software related? As in, will a future driver fix it?
At what fan speed percentage (e.g. 80%) are you achieving the 60C idle temp? In a very hot summer day (34C) my 8800GTS runs at 60C on 80% idle. :) 73C in furmark is impressive :)

Hey I have a Ati Radeon hd 2600 xt and the catalyst control center graphics hardware tab says that the memory size in 256mb. Shouldn't this card be a 512mb card? Also I have a Dell 2407 wfp-hc monitor. What is the best way to have this video card and this monitor set up?
