Radeon Graphics Overwrite Protection Service

Provides Smart-Locked graphics hardware IDs feature. Auto unlock the graphics hardware IDs when starts installing AMD \ NVIDIA \ Intel Graphics Driver Installer from the local location.

Install / Uninstall

The ROPService service is included in Radeon Setup Tool. Requires downloading the Radeon Setup Tool and installing the ROPService service.
Download from HERE

1. Run Radeon Setup Tool.
2. Go to the Service tab.

3. Click Install button in Service Groupbox.

Interrupt Windows Update Service： Enable this option will stop the Windows Update Service (wuauserv). Provide 7 plans to trigger stop Windows Update Service.

Smart-Locked GPUs Device Installation Restrictions： Enable this option to prevent device installation driver for certain graphics hardware IDs.

Unlock GPU when user starts installing AMD \ NVIDIA \ Intel graphics driver installer： If user starts installing Graphics Driver Installer will unlock graphics hardware IDs.


The ROPService service will automatically run in the background.

Use the DenyDeviceIDs form to restrict the installation of drivers that match the Device ID, unlock GPUs when the driver is not installed on the hardware device. and automatically add the GPUs Device ID to the DenyDeviceIDs form after the GPUs are installed.

Now it is also able to detect whether the user executes the driver installation file provided from the GPU official website from the local location to automatically unlock the GPUs hardware device. Windows Update will not have permission to install the GPUs hardware device that has been listed in the DenyDeviceIDs list, of course, It is also unable to update your graphics card driver through Radeon Software or Geforce Experience online. You can only install the driver manually by downloading it from the official website.

Recommended settings: Interrupt Windows Update Service + Interrupt Windows Update when AMD GPU hardware is not found + Smart-Locked GPUs Device Installation Restrictions + Enable Trigger Mode + Unlock AMD GPU when user starts installing AMD Radeon Software



The ROPService service is not installed: Windows Update may replace the AMD GPU driver
