I don't think that logs are actual.
Drivers comes with Quake Champions icon in the desktop. That feature is optional and disabled by default in installer

All the same on 17.8.1. Well, I guess it's a part (or rather a consequence) of overall improvements to the drivers and is not going to be fixed.

Yeah, you are probabbly right. I can't OC my monitor by CRU, as I can't with Vega driver. They didn't fix WattMan bug either. So I don't have any idea why they were waiting with releasing 17.8.1 for all... Meh.

    Thanks Rambo.

Will test these tomorrow after work but, if anyone can check for the voltage non-sticking bug in Wattman and voltage spikes and report back it would be super. :)

So far RX Vega runs tad better now, framerate is more stable & Enhanced Sync is not being a ass in some games which make my PC reboot.

Reference RX 480 8GB here. Still having either spikes or default voltage. No custom voltage sticks. Good job Tiger Team.

What is the best driver for R9 290 (GCN1.1)? I'm currently on 17.1.1

No, they didn't fix it. They had to broke OC too much to fix it so fast :|

Why don't you use newest? This is primary question.

Main problem seems to be mouse micro-stuttering while streaming or recording, so yeah that's huge. Vega driver methinks, AMD has work to do and fiji/vega is different from hawaii that's why you don't use the newest with Hawaii always.

We need New OMEGA Drivers, because all in all it's not ATI we LOVE

    16.12.2 WHQL don't run ME:A
So i will stick to 17.7.1 a little longer.

Also there is Genuine Intel "bug" in New RapidFire DLL (IMO it's for HBM cache :( )
But they have new compilers, why use old one? when ZEN & Threadripper is life?

At least Mantle is working in this release, as opposed to 17.8.1 b6

While on the subject of AfterBurner, is there a way to extend the GPU core voltage to match TriXX's +200 range?

    • FreeSync displays may experience stuttering when watching fullscreen video content.
    • FreeSync brightness or flickering issues have been resolved on a small amount of Samsung FreeSync enabled displays that may have been experiencing issues.
Since getting the new Samsung monitor I have been "enjoying" these issues, especially when the flicker causes my monitor to blank out for a moment, then come back with the "DisplayPort" logo showing like it just rediscovered a signal. When I watch "Preacher" tomorrow I'll see if these are fixed.
