Not a very good driver for my humble 290.

OSD introduces a hell of a stutter, so gaming is a a mess (esp. BF1).

The fact that is opaque, is an added nuance.

Wanted to use it (and learn how to oc via Wattman), but it seems that for now MSI AB is irreplaceable.

They really improved Relive performance. Doesn't decrease the FPS while recording and the recording is pretty good. Not flawless but better than before.

    Okayyy
I'm with Onna here, again. Already agreed on the 17.9.3 which gave me best results thus far, and now again with this driver.
Smooth in games, faster in benches.
With the same overclock as before now 11937 in firestrike default and 14418 graphics score with my r9 390.
So sure, just a couple of hundred points more, which is peanuts in real life gaming, but nevertheless a smooth experience compared to previous drivers.

The fps overlay is something you like or not. Overclocking works the same as with other drivers, Relive is something I do install but disable by default etc etc.

ps. I can oc higher but this will add more heat in general which makes my cpu hotter also, which in turn can hinder game performance. Not worth it for 1 or 2 fps more.

    Anyway, good driver from Amd.

I can't understand why GPU Power was omitted for Fiji owners???

Is there a registry entry for it for those that do have GPU Power?

I used to report it quickly for these guys that shared the burden, but I haven't CGN 1.0 cards anymore (sold/died).

Guys, there is one problem, Specialists, tell me! There is a Lenovo laptop with AMD A6-7310 APU whith AMD Radeon (TM) R4 Graphics and Discrete AMD Radeon (TM) R5 M430 2GB.
    Win10 16299.125. On the whql driver 22.19.677.257 (17.9.3) for APU(R4) and beta 23.20.793.1024 (17.11.4 ) for (R5 M430) everything works perfectly: WinStore apps, games!!!
As soon as I update the driver for APU R4 to version 23........., I have crash whith error file aticfx64.dll apps Mail and Maps and many (99%) games!
Crash file is "aticfx64.dll" only on 23....... drivers for APU. I return 22.19.677.257 for AMD Radeon(TM) R4 Graphics, everything works, and applications and all game!
P.S. Games and apps (Mail, Maps) work on the new APU drivers (17.11.1 & 17.12.1) work when i use DXCpl.exe whith (only) ForceWARP.
Tell me please how can I fix it? OS Windows 10 Home x64 16299.125 _ I have ALL DirectX, WU !!! I do not know what to do!
Remained on the driver 22.19.677.257 (17.9.3). On the site I'm offered version 17.12.1, BUT ...crash

I love being able to change the saturation/contrast/color temperature in Alt+R but I was disappointed to find out it was GLOBAL (system-wide) and not for the game I was running when I pressed Alt+R, hopefully in the future I'll be able to do game-specific color configs which would spare me having to use ReShade and other things like VibranceGUI (CSGO)?

No GPU Power option on 390.

I do have to admit, I like how Chill and FRTC work, and how FreeSync has improved. Ichi-Ban!! AMD

The Performance Metrics box is kinda wasteful on space, and the font is small for 4K. Will do a fat SWTOR session and see how well everything works in known troublesome areas.

Since installing these new drivers it keeps creating C:\AMD folder and making a text document inside called atikmdag_dce, How do I stop this?

Enhanced Sync turn on overwrite Vsync in game, does not matter if Vsync is on in the game, it show uncap framerates.
Also with FreeSync my GPU (RX Vega 64) power is very low, Arkham Knight at max setting @ 2560x1080p Freesync (75hz) showing 77w running in 75fps.
With FreeSync turn off & Enhanced Sync turn on, Arkham Knight max setting with same resolution 90fps with 220w GPU power.

You could just stop whining, make a custom bios, or just deal with it.

I have zero sympathy for anyone complaining about UVD bug on a 6 year old GPU core anymore.
I never experienced it once on my R9 280. XFX black edition. My R9 280x Direct CUII never had it either, nor did my HD 7850s, nor did my 7950s, but those did have custom bios i made for overclocking without the boost bios. No way I can be that lucky with that many GCN 1.0 gpus.
And I just sold a HD 7850 in a budget rig, and with newest driver it didnt have th UVD bug, stock bios on a whimpy 1GB model too.

I find Enhanced Sync + FreeSync with these drivers to be just magical. No need to do maxfps-3 caps to keep things smooth. And everything works. Game Profiles, Chill, FRTC applies properly. No stutter when at FreeSync max, some FreeSync glitching that would occasionally happen seems to have gone away... I could get spoiled by all this :)

this. FRTC and traditional v-sync now are quite useless with such combo.

The thing with GPU clocks UVD is tiring every thread. Throw your GPUs or whole PCs into the sea to get this over with. Years now the same old story. It is not AMD's fault neither drivers. It is the system configuration and GPU's Bios. Buy an other AMD card or switch to NVidia already.

Personally I never ecountered this famous bug since HD 4000 series. Am I lucky? I don't think so. It is your fault TBH.
