I have Asder's 14.11.1 driver installed and it's been working well with my 5770, but after installing Disc Jam, the game told me it has known issues with that driver and the game pretty much freezes my system. So I'm trying to find a more current driver, but every driver I've tried to install, 14.12, 15.7.1, 16.2.1 have said there's no supported card installed, even though the 5000 series is listed in the supported cards. Is there some file in the install folder I need to edit to make the installers recognize my card? I've tried after using a driver cleaner and also while my currents drivers were installed.
I would probably do a diskcheck..... clean out with DDU...... I,m currently using the recommended driver from here http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=409002 made by user1 on my HD 5770 at the moment on Win 7 x64... sweet as... hope it helps. Another forum member CrazY_Milojko has posted performance comparison to the driver listed above on a HD 5770 with this driver AMD Legacy Cards Radeon Software Crimson Edition Beta Driver 15.12 v.15.300.1025.1001... showing similar results on Win 7 x64 bit as well.... He was going to further report back on the usage of that driver soon.
Go to device manager and list your device ID string. Example: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1616&SUBSYS_2216103C&REV_09\3&B1BFB68&0&10
