When it comes out 22.1.3 WHQL ?
I'm not confident they are going to be any good, since the last couple of driver releases have been terrible.
You have to be in the AMD Vanguard beta driver program to get beta driver (RC build).
I'm very confident in driver 22.1.3 RC build, like you said couple of drivers have been terrible because it was rush due to God of War then Rainbow Six then AMD GPU launch in the following two weeks.
You must pay a lot of money to idiotic small corp like AMD to be a part of it and use test drivers. I am a computer scientist myself but because I have not the latest rig I am not eligible according to them.
Crashed my PC mid-install; went back to the last WHQL. I guess it's my fault for blindingly trusting new AMD drivers, since 22.1.1 was okay(ish, crashed yesterday while using MPC-HC).
I doubt THAT's the reason.
I'm itching for that 21.1.3 driver so I can finally start my proper runs of Metro Exodus and Control with FSR.
Another week to go.
sometimes when i shutdown my machine and then start it again i take this:
Restart Required - High Definition Audio Bus
to fix this i need to go AMD Audio Driver Version - 10.0.1.23 uninstall it and let the windows install the 10.0.1.6 from 2017 driver. Anyone see it?
This exist only in polaris
I was recently invited to the Vanguard program because of properly submitting bug reports. I don't have a very top of the line rig at home, but guess what.. if you guys are having issues with Polaris based GPUs and if I can reproduce the issue on my end, I can now actually submit bugs in a manner that can make a difference. No more will I have to deal with the usual fangirls here whenever I encounter legitimate issues. So, YAY!
Yey we have a vanguard in the house When I bought the 5700XT, the drivers were so bad that windows was having 2-3 BSOD/day even on the desktop with the PC idling and eventually it screwed my windows installation and I lost some important files in the process. My bug reports in 2019 were full of swear words and insults but also I gave them all info and steps to reproduce...I guess I'm on the shitlist lol
Some fixes for God of War are present in DXVK now
New DXVK, nice.
The God of War tweaks help with performance. The issue is that RDNA1 has a Vulkan implementation issue, unrelated to DXVK itself.
I am a little confused. According to the notes on this page: https://www.techspot.com/downloads/drivers/essentials/amd-radeon-hotfix/
It seems to indicate that this driver covers the R9 290 which I thought had been aged out a few months ago. Anyone know whats up? I am just running the GPU drivers and no software. So far its been stable. I use Speedfan to monitor and cool. Need a screenshot/record app now. I don't think I need this update. Danke.
Please read the whole TechSpot page:
Everything below that line is for some old driver - those old release notes are mixed notes for Radeon SW 21.9.1 and some older ones - so, before Hawaii based cards were moved to legacy support
Anyway, I would suggest to check release notes and download drivers directly at AMD support site - at least you will avoid confusion
For Hawaii based cards, you can check Amernime Zone Radeon Insight driver with legacy cards support created by Guru3D forum member mylipho15
Hi ! dumb question.... does this version of dxvk include the async patch ?
Till now I was using this one and it worked flawlessly
P.S. Patch 1.0.3 for GoW is live - adresses some memory leaks which could lead to either crashes or decreased performance.
P.S.2. I definitely prefer the dxvk including the async patches.... even the latest 1.9.4 compared to 1.9.3 async feels more stuttery - especially in the asset loading areas.
Nope, ditsujin's git is original SW without any async patch.
...and yeah, async patched version is not available yet on sporif's git
//Nevermind, Async version just got released
Update : DXVK 1.9.4 Async patched just released !
Runs perrrrfectly fine with GoW 1.0.3
This one: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/issues/2443
Interesting results with 22.2.1 rc and dxvk 1.9.4 async, it's even smoother now i think, maybe.
