I know. I meant in general.
Might look here
or here for some standard marketing blabber
Long story short -- if done right then this would allow AMD or NV to have an additional screw to fine tune their cards (e.g. those minimum fps improvements, bottlenecks in some places etc.).
Microsoft just posted a good article on what this means.
my radeon vii not taking this driver saying its legacy hardware lol
READ RELEASE NOTES***
driver for RX 5600 and RX 5700/XT only!
So Arma 3 will benefit from this feature? Very CPU bound game. Although engine limitations might scupper the feature me thinks.
The latency got a lot worst with the latest BETA driver and mainly with Hardware Scheduling enabled.
Tested with https://resplendence.com/latencymon
If it's GPU bottleneck, HWS can increase latency, since it offloads the scheduler from CPU to GPU
EDIT: nvm, you're talking system latency. Tested, latency on my system is still sub-100, so no changes here.
pay no attention to what latencymon shows.
The beta driver is fine, the culprit was me messing with the motherboard BIOS...
Your spec says R9 280x, which means this driver is useless for you.
Beta for RX5600/5700XT.
The spec was outdated, 5600 XT now.
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000119 First BSOD playing BfV
LOL read much do we or did you just see new driver and thought must have it at all costs. HWS at this point has been released only for 5600, 5600XT and 5700, 5700XT other GPU's will come later on
i was more focused on it giving me a legacy message when i just bought the card recently its more faster when overclocked than my 5700xt more at higher resolutions but they cut support for it basically and only get stuff added after making enough noise. but its ok i have a 5700xt to test it with
Radeon VII is NOT legacy product
The drivers just say that as its unsupported thats all
I guess it's a generic message
Sure it is
