R.ID Community Driver: Hybrid - Release Nebula 23.11.1 WHQL

Now I had a question about the PCIe on this discrete GPU here under load it says this... Bus Interface : PCIe x8 2.0 @ x4 2.0, why won't it go to PCIe x8 2.0?

by the way this is my max overclock so far, as my ASIC quality is only 53% it can't clock to well and needs a lot of voltage so im at 1133mhz core 1250mhz memory @ 1.225v from 1.100v, and from 955mhz core 900mhz memory stock, so i overclocked the core 178mhz & 350mhz on the memory. Is that any good?

By the way also im using V7-22.10.1-GCN-UMD-WHQL-Nemesis-NimeZ-DCH driver and XBOX Game bar DVR isn't available... Its available on the Microsoft windows update driver but why not the switchable graphicc NimeZ driver? I have it set to Microsoft FIXED RENDER mode which is renders on 2nd gpu but it needs to render on the 1st gpu since the r5 m430 doesnt have encoding or decoding only the apu r5 graphics does so i set the xbox game bar to use the apu r5 graphics but its still not working.

Yes i hope the new driver works on the high cpu utilization bug compared to other drivers, the fps is much lower on the gcn drivers 23.4.1. Not to mention graphical glitching in Forza not present in Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-2019-Edition-19.11.1-Nov4.

 

The PCIE that the laptop's chipset/APU supports upto pcie x8, but the igpu only supports x4

So the igpu should be pcie x4 but the r5 m430 discrete gpu should be x8 right? Its operating at x4, so does that mean the igpu & dgpu share x8 so x4 each?

By the way i cannot get xbox game dvr to record nor can i get any app to hardware record right now... I had it working before i reloaded windows but i havent ran updates on windows. Am i required to run updates to get xbox game bar dvr to record? Can u help me get it working?

 

The issue I have with XBOX Game DVR & TestAMFVFW AMD VCE is they are being ran on the R5 M430 & not the iGPU which has encoding functionality. For instance I had to manually add Handbrake to Windows Graphics settings apps and set it to "Power Savings iGPU" instead of the R5 M430.

So my question is, what is the .exe location of the actual initiator of XBOX Game DVR, so I can add it manually? And FIX this issue once and for all.

 

So I disabled the discrete gpu in the bios the r5 m430 and xbox game dvr works so it has something to do with the switchable graphics mode. Which one do I choose? MS Fixed Render or MS Multi GPU seem to work best but idk which one to choose to fix this issue...

 

I finally got it dialed in finally with 1 hiccup, gotta choose the specific gpu for every game but relive and xbox game dvr are working now. Terrible performance with NimeZ drivers 23.4.1 gcn so i am using Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-2019-Edition-19.11.1-Nov4. Which have great performance and minimal glitching and no blue color bug or any color bug at all.

 

Hi all, hope someone can help.
After i install Nimez drivers for my R9 290 GPU, everything is fine apart from adrenelin menu won't open, which i need for Relive recording, i have installed and uninstalled a few times but to no avail.
What am i doing wrong?

Need to make sure u have the right "dependencies" for your "drivers version". As far as I know 23.4.1 works only with ccc2_install_v5.0_22.40.exe. Let me know your Nimez version you are installing & we will try and tell u which DEPENDENCIES to install. Yes, I know the dependencies are very confusing which one works for what version, what we need is a CHART.

 

Hi, thanks for reply, this is the one i used V7-22.10.1-GCN-UMD-WHQL-Nemesis-NimeZ-DCH, and i use ccc2_install_v5.0_22.50.exe, which i had to rename to ccc2_install_v5.0_22.40.exe, placed in C:\AMD folder, in order for it to be found during installation.

 

Well I spoke too soon, even know I set the "SPECIFIC GPU" in Graphics Settings in Windows it still uses the iGPU instead. ReLive & XBOX Game DVR work though.

 

I've had a lot more luck with this release than with NimeZ. I recommend this : Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-2019-Edition-19.11.1-Nov4 By the way u can still tweak any driver using NimeZ CLI.

 

I'll give that a try tomorrow and report back, cheers.

 

Hi, can u help me with a guide or configuration with switchable graphics on how to get relive / amd vce to work and also have the high performance gpu show up as well in Windows Graphics settings?

I cannot find the ideal configuration for both gaming & recording with two GPUs, bro.

MS fixed hybrid and render show the 2nd gpu but only MS Multi adapter allows for Relive without high performance gpu support as the iGPU shows up in the power saving position & the high performance position.

How did u line up your system for relive and 3d gaming with the high performance gpu in windows 11?

PS - Maybe u can figure out a way to disable AMD APM on the CPU to improve CPU performance on AMD CPUs?

*Update*
MS Multi-Adapter gives the option for Relive but Relive doesn't work. More tweaking required.

 

Come to think of it i just installed V8-23.4.1Prev-GCNFlex-MDL-WHQL-Discovery-RemiX-DCH and ccc2_install_v5.0_22.40.exe and for me used MS Multi-Adapter which unlocks ReLive for me but I have to manually select the high performance gpu though which sucks and it commonly will run on the iGPU anyway but testing is on going. Everything works okay otherwise had pretty good performance from the R5 M430 in Call Of Duty WWII.

 

No relive on the NimeZ drivers for R5 M430 GCN only when the discrete is turned off in the bios does relive work so thats a bummer. Only working on 19.11.1 amd radeon drivers.
