What i do with old games is just force on dxvk's or dgvoodoo's Anisotropic Filtering, if that doesnt work reshade has sharpening filters that work at texture levels, this all probably works the same for AMD cards. My thinking is, this way you can keep the driver perf optimizations and still get better looking game.

yep, because both of amd drivers (official and amernime) use DXNavi by default for RX 6000 series from 22.5.2, yet you still able to use Regular DX by switch manually

hi! i have sapphire pulse rx 5700 xt with windows 11, which drivers do you recommend? legacy gcn or Polaris-vega-navi? what are the differences?

is it possible to set the anisotropic level + antialiasing for all direct X?

Hi, Relive is not working in drivers 22.10.1.
Whenever I try to record any clips, nothing happens. Furthermore, When I enable the desktop recording option, the cursor's loading just spins and nothing happens. My GPU is R9 270 GCN 1.0

 

*Issue*
Crash on osu! (opengl) at startup, may be due to high fps because this problem gets fixed if the limit is set to 3000 fps on the config file.
If the game doesnt crash there will be a 0.3 sec black screen at the start of some maps.

Hello, RX580 8GB here. I see a horrible drop in performance in CPU bound scenarios with the latest driver. Used to play NFS Heat maxed with framerate dropping to 40 in the worst cases (start of the night races). Now it drops to 20 and is unplayable. CPU utilization is close to 100 % (3500x), GPU utilization is like 60 %. I DDUd the Nimez driver and installed the official one. The same result. Anybody else having the same experience? I was really satisfied with the previous driver... september one, not sure which.

 

Try to use a special script that will fix the high CPU load.

You need the navi one. Gcn is for older gpu.

 

Yeeah i get fps drops too on my 580 8gb, in pubg i lock it to 80 to get smooth gameplay.. i guess oc 4770k cant do it anymore

 

I have problem my Laptop msi modern 14 B5M with ryzen 5500u RX vega Graphics... My laptop when install driver nimez have problem if sleep mode the PC will reboot ... what's the problem ?

direct update to 22.10.1 for pre-polaris is not recommended, since it uses new whql implementation (assuming you have old version that still use old whql parser)
