in folding at home no nonsense, you get 8 individual ID's, is that per an instance on one unit or can you have a bunch of computers with the ID cpu1? so far i have my home 2 cores at 1x2x cpu and my server is 3x4x5x6x7x8 =p and my work pc is 1x2x i have to delete work units a lot because it wouldnt be sending them out right after a day at a time, its killin my averages

    Info

I don't get what you're mainly asking. What are you having problems with?

Each No-nonsense version should have its own Machine ID if its on the same PC; you don't have to set all your machines up with different ID's.

I.E: Say I have your 6 P3 server, and I have a E4400 and a P4 going to fold, I would setup my P3 server with Machine ID's 1-6, the E4400 with 1-2, and the P4 with 1-2, you don't have to set it like, P3 server 1-6, E4400 7-8, P4 9-10, as long as its not one big computer you're fine. Does this make sence to you? If not I will try to be more specific.

Basically, the machine ID allows the stanford servers to differentiate between a number of clients running on the same machine.

If you're using different machines, you don't have to worry about the machine ID.
