I bought my Carbide Air 540 for the purpose of quiet SLI operation but now that SLI has failed on me and I run single GPU (and most likely will keep doing in the future), I want a smaller and quieter case.

I've found two options so far, the NZXT H440W New Edition/Plus Edition/2015 Edition and the Fractal Design S.

Today I got the opportunity to buy a brand new FD Design S for the mere price of 64 EUR (windowless). It was an offer only valid today so I had to be quick.

Was it a good choice? Anyone got the case? Seems like it's got good reviews. Only thing that worries me really is how to control the fans (since there's no room for a fan controller).

The NZXT H440W New Edition is VERY good, I used the previous one in several builds, awesome case. Here's an A+ grade review on the case, use translate if needed :p

I'm using a Define R4, which I was surprised of the build quality and the functionality. I personally don't think you'll regret your purchase.

First ever H440 NE I've seen. Nice that they liked it so much and impressive improvements over the old model. The only downside is that it costs twice as much as the Define S.

I dont think so either tbh.
