Quick P4 EE question....

    Does anyone know if the socket 478 Pentium 4 3.4Ghz Extreme Edition has an unlockable multiplier???

    After some google'ing i came across a couple of mixed results.


    Although, that said i wouldnt bank on it.

    The Extreme editions always have an unlocked multiplier, right?

    @aircool: 4.3Ghz already, hmmz? :p I bet you can hit 4.5 stable :D

    I was sure on that too, but to be honest, its still a hell of a cpu.

    I take it Deadman that the board doesnt like high FSB's too much? (or ram limit :/)

    @Vulture: 4.3Ghz is nice, no bottleneck (Yes i will push much further on tuesday :D).

    I'm getting the CPU for $40 + a software trade from an old friend. Which is lucky or else I would be down on my main rig for a long time, being divorced with children is expensive...lol

    I just wondered about the multiplier because I want to run my RAM at full speed, but don't want to overclock another CPU to death, literallly.
