I downloaded RivaTuner v2.0 RC4. I wanted to know if I should put
everything back to its normal state and then uninstall my previous beta
version before installing the latest beta.

Do you have an FAQ on the various options you have with the program
because I chose one that prevented me from booting into W2k and had to
restore a former registry. I'm willing to try improving how my Nvidia Riva TNT2
M64 APG card operates under W2K but it would be helpful to understand
your program's options when implemented and how they may or may not
affect one's system. I have a Micron Millennia XP with an AMD 1000 MHz
Processor with a 200 FSB and 256 DDR Ram.

Thanks,
No, you don't need unistall previous beta before installing new one.

You can find FAQ here, on The Guru of 3D, or in the latest RivaTuner's package. But it does not contain detailed description of each option. You can post here any questions on any OGL/D3D/System option.

Do you mean PowerUser options? D3D/OGL/System options cannot prevent your from booting OS (except FW mode settings, which are disabled by default).

> how they may or may not affect one's system.

RivaTuner analyzes your system and all options which will not affect your system, are disabled in RivaTuner.
Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I installed the new Beta over the old one. I went into the program and chose the options I wanted then applied them. This was after I had to disable the startup settings under HKLM RUN before the program would install.:

NvColorlnit- rundll32 nvqtwk.dll, NvColorinit
NvInitialize- rundll32 Nvqtwk.dll, NvxTlnit
RivaTurner- D:\RivaTurner\RiveaTurner.exe /T

After rebooting, I re-applied the Run Settings, only Riva Turner was active. Now I cannot get back into the program because it will not open up. What did I do wrong?
I finally remembered how to setup the program. However, I have a few questions:

I have checked off apply overclocking at windows startup with a clock speed of 125 MHz-133 MHz. At the end of the boot process, the screen goes black for a second and then I see my Desktop with all the startup programs in the Sys Tray. Is this unusual?I have a Nvidia Riva TNT 2 M64 AGP 4x OEM card with 32 MB. Are these overclocking speeds unusual and what difference should I see from this? I am not a gamer and use my W2K machine for business purposes.

Thanks,

Nop. Your desktop MUST flash when Detonator apply new clock frequencies.
I don't think that u really need overclocking if you are not a gamer.
