I wish you the best!!! to the point..... i have an old pc with i7 960/8gb ram and gigabyte r9 280x 3gb my question is: with this pc i play games in medium-high Is this pc with medium-high setings better from ps4? Second question: for how long i will be able to play games in this settings? for 1 more year? for 2 more years? Sorry for crazy questions but i want to know about my pc vs ps4 and for how long will be able to play games without upgrade. Sorry for my English!!! Hi, is CPU overclocked? If not, do you have 100% utilization on GPU in games? Do you have GPU utilization dropping down a lot? Then, what games do you play? And yes, your HW is still better than gaming consoles. And even in few years you may be able to put some settings to High. It really boils down to sacrifice you make. Let's say that r9-280x is weaker on shadow processing than currently similarly powerful GPUs. Then sacrificing shadow quality may enable you to get some additional AA of shader quality as they are less costly and GPU made very small evolution in CU power. You may keep LOD, because geometry discard did not improve much either.
