Sorry if this is the wrong place.
I have a msi gaming 100 million edition gpu. When I bought it 3 years and I paid $380 plus a $20 mail in rebate. A couple months ago I was thinking about running sli with 2 of these cards. I was shocked to see it priced at $600 plus. I also see that many of these 970s are also $500-$600. Why are they so high cost now?

They are not being made anymore so 3rd part sellers jacked up the price?

Look in a used market for another card.
Likely just be easier to sell the 970 and get a 1070 or something.

Sell it for that price while you still can, and buy something better.

You can stick with what you have until the next gen cards come out. gl

Never invest in PC hardware. It's value rapidly declines within 6 months. But if you got the money go for it

Buddy You are looking in the wrong Places example I bought my Asus Strix Gtx 980 for $100 dollars .If you live near a Microcenter I have seen used nvidia gtx 970s Refrence design sell for $150 dollars. If not you can try Craigslist I see alot of used pc parts for sale you can sometimes score a really good deal. I went from Gtx 780 to 980 and very happy so far,My next one will be a 1080 or 1080ti.

Good luck with the hunt btw.

I was actually considering getting a second hand GTX970 as they were going for £130 here in the UK on ebay a few months ago to try sli, but when i looked at all the hassle and how this card performs very well by itself i just did not bother.

But yeah card prices here in the UK are just crazy, and with having a 970 i am in that position where it runs everything so why would i need to spend crazy cash £360 to £450 on a GTX1070. ;)
