I want to uninstall anything that belongs to AMD GPU drivers do i need to check the two unchecked boxes under amd. I have an AMD motherboard will this delete some stuff from the chipset driver as well? Can someone help me about this
Does factory reset not use AMD own removal tool which they disabled for now cos it breaks windows boot due to windows update installing PCI Bus driver during driver install, even tho it does not if windows driver updates are disabled on Windows 11 ? I do check option to remove chipset driver i do not trust AMD own tool currently atleast not on Windows 11. Check them and test it out yourself, both of those are reinstalled anyway if you reinstall radeon drivers and chipset drivers. edit: or well on windows 10 atleast, on Windows 11 you wont see PCI Bus be installed if you disabled Windows Driver Update which more stable with default PCI Express root complex driver, i do not think its supose to be installed cos radeon drivers do not install it on windows 11 with Windows Driver Updates disabled, but it does if its enabled, which is probably a windows 11 specific bug.
The first option will affect chipset drivers, the second one will not. You can do both, and reinstall the chipsets after rebooting. Or just do the Audio one.
I just checked the amdkmpfd package in 23.3.1, and while using the same revision of 22.40.0.2 and date, compared to the package floating around here, the filesize changed on the sys file, from 103 KB to 113 KB.
