Just a few press releases but that's all. Agree that it's not much.
The game is already out that's why?
A Steam and DX11 version is important to alot of consumers, but not really the gaming press and i'm assuming Remedy are not wanting to hype the game up to much as the engine/game is still not the most PC friendly ever.
Anyone here play the game with 1080GTX with Vsync + AA 1080p and doesn't have stuttering ? Patch 22.214.171.124
Even without Vsync I have stuttering, disabling AA seems to fix the issue. I tried to run it 2560x1440 with DSR and the game seem to run 35 Fps instead 60 Fps. Everything on Ulta / Max if otherwise.
Can we use Nvidia Vsync or Adaptive ? would that be any better ? Would Maximum Pre-Rendered Frame help 1 instead of 3 ?
Wait for the Steam Dx11 version, dont bother with this one, get a refund from the windows store and wait for the non hack job version.
It will be interesting to see how this version turns out, with it being DX11 then more can be done by Nvidia etc.. at a driver level.
I also want to see if there is any MGPU support after Remedy claiming the engine could not could not easily support it.
Pushed back to the 29th Sept.
It's obvious...they saw the DE:MD reviews...:nerd:
Let them take their time lol. No rush on my side to play this left over from the tv tv tv era of the Xbox One.
Welcome to almost four weeks ago...
Otherwise it would've already been released. The original release date was the 14th.
Remember peps, wait for performance reviews this time. People got burned once, you have a second chance to avoid the same mistake with the same game.
Even though I own it through the Win10 Store... I will rebuy it through STEAM.
Not sure when I will... as I'm pretty tapped financially (putting a new roof on my house).
But, even if it doesn't have any performance improvements over the Win10 version... I'll still buy the Steam one.
I prefer all my games through STEAM. Also, with DX11 I can monitor FPS better.
Really looking after this Steam release.
23hrs to go
Speaking of the 1080 GPU the community manager of the Quantum Break Steam forums is currently taking some flak though they were talking of the Win10 Store version of the game and it's performance and limitations.
EDIT: More framerate comparisons.

Performance is still unacceptable.
DX11 Steam Version, Scaling OFF
gtx 1080 to slow for stable 60fps.. oh god..
Seriously, taking a console game targetting 30 fps into a PC game with countless PC part configuration is a tremendous task.
True, it is a big task. However, good ports like Doom which are 60fps on console run at least double to triple+ the performance on my system with everything maxed-out...
I think Doom can't be considered a port. The PC version is incredible. :3 It shows the strength of OpenGL/Vulkan cross platform development
Yeah its still demanding, but those volumetric effects can easily be set from v.high to high and get a nice boost while almost no visual difference. This should be enough for 60fps upscalling off @ 1080p for something like 980ti/1080/1080gtx.
