awful port awful game, amd wipes the floor with nvidia in that one, 1 sided victory.
Its silly becouse some people ware reporting 60fps on nvidia cards and latest update. Instead of acknowledging the problem and saying "Nvidia, wtf is wrong with my hardware"? they continue to deffend it.
Game dosnt run fine at all but 50% faster is a big deal on favor of AMD. They fixed the performance on GoW right away, they didnt said engine is broken, get over it.
I finished QB before 1.7 update, it took me less then 10h. It was smooth and playable. "Maxed" (few options ware high not very high). I didnt get single driver crash through entire playthrough.
The performance is awful for everyone though, AMD fans are celebrating poor ports just because Nvidia cards are much worse.
The Nvidia issues, coupled with the Windows Store must be killing sales of the game.
Lol, next-gen vibrating phone on AMD!
Doesn't seem to happen on Nvidia, though, despite crashing problems.
i seriously would like to play this game. But it's way too expensive atm: 70 euros
Can you stop this? Why you bump in every thread this useless fight?
It's bad for everyone. It's a port and it has some support. They'll patch it until it would be fixed. I hope :wanker:
He might actually be right, atleast the last part.
Its kinda sad how it runs becouse game is actually quite good. I'll probably finish it again with new update and upscaling before Doom comes out.
My friend asked me is the game any good and how it will run on his gtx760. Looking how it runs on 970 its sad for me tell him that game probably wont even run on his card.
Got my key there for 24u$d
I have finished the game twice, both times before the patch.
Never once had a single crash.
Now, since the 1.7 patch I'm deep into Act 2 on a replay. And again, zero crashes.
The Nvidia crash issue is not a guaranteed issue for Nvidia users.
Also, I can say a 970 can maintain a solid 60fps with this patch. With Film Grain off, Upscaling On, and all other settings at High the game runs smoothly at 60fps.
Upscaling off, yes, it drops into the mid 30s, at times into mid 40s. But, until Remedy provide future optimization to the lighting, and offer an option to disable the forced, always on 4xMSAA... performance improvements will most likely be minimal.
nvidia + dx12 = rip
I have the game and its crashing but when you have everything on ultra, specially the volumetric lighting.
Never had a crash in this game either and I have always played the game maxed out at 2560x1440 (albeit with the new Upscaling option left set to On).
If I feel that is the case, why should I not say?
It's a great looking game, but even the best cards can't do 1080/60 with everything maxed and 4k just isn't possible.
I would love to buy it, and while I can ignore the fact it's on the Windows Store, I can't ignore the performance problem or the price.
Launch it as administrator and then, extras -> system -> enable privilege.
You will be able to navigate through wapps folders.
thnx a lot , that works
Gsync is coming soon
Nice to see they have not stopped supporting it. No performance improvements to be expected at this juncture I suppose.
As it stands the game performs well enough when upscaling is on, off IQ is better of course but performance is frankly abysmal.
They are still working on more optimization and performance improvements.
Just, G-sync and such are the big things they are wanting to advertise as being in the next update.
Personally, I just want an option to disable the always on 4xMSAA.
Or lower it to 2xMSAA.
Incidentally, does the MFAA on option for NVIDIA cards actually compound the performance issues in this game by using pseudo-8xMSAA?
Has anyone seen any GTX 1080 benchmark with Quantum Break? I'm really curious to see what it can do in that game!!
