Will the next Geforce release fix the embarrassment of Nvidia refusing to be competent in the world of limited and full color modes? Or is that "still several releases away"?

Well 340.52 isnt perfect, I hope we get a newer sub r340 branch from it.. Or even better R443 - this one will have openCL1.2 as well

Still no word on the new Geforce drivers? I remember Manuel G saying that they were waiting on MS to WHQL them. But that was almost a week ago.

My thoughts too, to be honest. Hoping its not the same one with just whql. If it is, I'll be sticking with 337.91

    340.xx Drivers

I have had issues with all of the 340.xx drivers, they cause all kinds of problems with DVD/BD ripping and converting. Every time a new 340 comes out I install it, and my games work great, I will give the 340 Branch that, but video ripping goes to Sh-t, I always end up going back to 337.88 and ripping/converting works great. Anyone else having issues with the 340.xx drivers and Video DVD/BD ripping/converting?

Ditto.. 340.xx is a bust so far. I hope they wait, fix the problems and give us a different one.. I'd hate for their to be new profiles for a driver that I can't even use anyway.

Yeah, let them take their time. There's nothing new releasing for a while any way.

I'm hoping this will force devs to support NVENC, if that's the case I'm all for it.
If not then we lost something great :(

    HDMI specific or by videos?

If by videos you can change that to full 0 -255 with 3-4 clicks

    *default is set to limited

We lost hw assisted video encoding in dozen commercial and noncommercial software, just because nvidia thoughtless and unfounded decision. Commercial companies will not remake their existing (not to say unsupported) software because nvidia wants to.

I know Im late to the party. but I decided to play some portal 2 for the first time.

I tried setting the game to 4k resolution(downsampling) and the game kept flashing back and forth to the desktop.

found out for some reason vsync triple buffering was doing it. set it to double buffering and it stopped flashing.

I tried the 340.43 driver and it did the same thing.
