326.01 has been good here, I would love to know when shadowplay will be coming though. I couldn't find anything new with that. Sorry that I went ot.

Hey ManuelG, I noticed the 326.xx drivers are all supporting windows 8.1. Could you possibly comment on which geforce devices are planned to have WDDM 1.3 support in newer drivers?

In the current 326.01 only geforce 600 and 700 cards use WDDM 1.3, with older cards presented as WDDM 1.2 devices (ie. 400 and 500 series). I left a post a couple of weeks ago on the nvidia developer forum seeking clarification on this but never received any official reply.

If you could offer any more information, thank you.

Not sure what the ETA for this is. I am not working personally on GFE/Shadowplay bugs at the moment.

That'd be awesome, thanks. I'm mostly interested in WDDM 1.3 support on older cards (< 600 series) in order to use the new D3D 11.2 features, like tiled resources, that're only exposed on WDDM 1.3 devices.

We have decided to post the driver after all. It will be released tomorrow morning (Thursday). The bug we discovered affects Tomb Raider/World of Warcraft in Surround mode but we will fix it in the WHQL driver.

ManuelG You can tell number of the version of the driver. You work above the notebook version of the driver (680m)? Excuse me for illiteracy. I from Russia :)
When will add SLI support for Project CARS and Path of Exile?

Okay thanks but I don't really know what full screen flash player has to do with system/mouse hang, other than hardware acceleration perhaps.

I received a reply and with R326.01 and later drivers, we should be support all Fermi class and above GPUs as WDDM 1.3 devices. If you haven't done so, can you check with the latest drivers under Windows 8.1 if it reports your device as WDDM 1.3 or 1.2 device?

Thanks for getting back to me on this. My device still reports in dxdiag.exe as WDDM 1.2 on Windows 8.1 Preview 64-bit, using GeForce driver 326.19. I had the same result with the previous 326.01.

You said all Fermi class GPUs should support WDDM 1.3, so perhaps this is a device identification issue with the 326.xx drivers? The card is a GTX 560ti (GF114, not the 448 core GF110 variant).

Here is the relevant device information from NVIDIA Control Panel's System Information (I've omitted frequency, bandwidth, memory figures etc.):

    Device: GeForce GTX 560 Ti
Operating system: Windows 8.1 Pro Preview, 64-bit
    DirectX runtime: 11.0
    Driver version: 326.19
    Direct3D API version: 11.1
    Direct3D feature level: 11_0
    CUDA cores: 384
    Video BIOS version: 70.24.11.00.00
    Device ID: 10DE 1200 23821462
    Part Number: 1040 0050

The relevant dxdiag output for Display is:

I'm glad to hear Fermi-class GPUs are intended to have WDDM 1.3 support, and I hope you can forward this information to help track down the issue with this 560 Ti reporting as a WDDM 1.2 device.

If you need any further information, let me know. Thanks.
