Quadro 259.12 Out! All Flavours

i do know, yes..
but since i have this card, videos look a lil better..so thats why im saying that..
maybe digital vibrance is better or the renderer, but Vidoes do look a lil different..i swear..lol..
its pretty different to my 9800gtx that i had before..

But in that case then..ok the driver makes the game look better(nfs shift)
anyway. NFS SHift looks Awesome now...
and these driver also wotk better then the other 2 i had before..
258.96 and the gtx460 drivers..258.60? something like that..

Nice Beta! I have a GTX460 as well and was wondering how using the quadro drivers are.

Now, do the games just look better because the default NV control panel settings are beefed up? like AA and AF turned on and all the goodies?

Cuz if thats the case, I can easily do that with all my games and nv control panel with defaults drivers.

Or is there something beyond that .. thats not changeable in the control panel or registry settings that make this driver picture look nicer?

i dont really get what u mean..
shure u have more options at aa transparenz like 2 supersampling, 4x and 8x..instead of multisampling..

but i do mean that the iq of this driver is better then the previous quaddros...

geforce 258.96whql are smoother/stabler with higher lowest fps.. im back to 258.96, and now i lost Alien Swarm and Kine & Lynch 2 profiles, oh well..

 

I'm happy with these I'll take a higher quality driver over 5 fps any day. 5 fps used to matter when 3D acceleration was in it's infancy and games were lucky to pull 24 fps but it's a whole different game today.

 

yea it doesn't bother me either if there's an avg 80fps or 90fps, but if i have lowest 40fps with one driver and 45-50fps in other, i just can't ignore it..

 

Thanks for the 32bit modded inf. I like these drivers with my GTX 460 =) very nice.

Drivers are much better than the norm! Never used Qaudro drivers before and on my gtx460 sli..IQ is way better!! And my 1st with sli and REALLY lovin SLI!

 

Meh... I'll stick with 258.96 for now. What I really want is a proper Starcraft II profile from Nvidia. And since I don't play Kane & Lynch 2 or Alien Swarm, these Quatro drivers offer nothing to me.

 

5 fps still matters today, esp in GPU-raping games like Metro2033 or Crysis.

 

You only have 1 GPU how can loosing profiles effect you? I thought these were only for SLi users.

nope hes talking about GAME profiles..
so u can make different settings for each game without change the settings everytime u start a different game..

they are also sli i guess...but i use them too and i have a single card..
some profiles add aa in some games, etc etc...

it doesnt, i meant they aren't supported yet so no real profiles.. it looks like so,



otherwise is has a real name Alien Swarm and maybe there are few optimizations too.. no big deal, im gonna wait for real Geforce driver and see how they do, like i said these aren't so smooth for me.

 

i tired them and these quadro are better/faster..

btw 259.09 is a developer driver (not for public), if you like these 259.12 then don't bother with 259.09:nerd:
