Have you tried to remove dwmapi.dll and dwmcore.dll? Just thinking.
Placing aticfx32.dll, aticfx64.dll, atidxx32.dll, atidxx64.dll, atiumd64.dll, atiumdag.dll from non-legacy drivers in the folder where the main game .exe is located while using legacy gpu results in the game not starting (either the game exe gives an error, black screen and crash to desktop or does basicaly nothing (u have the .exe for a couple of seconds in task manager and it's gone)). This should work at least with dx9 games but it doesn't so clearly they have done something to at least block the use of such files with legacy cards.
The 6 files above handle dx9, dx10 (dx11 but it's not the case for legacy cards). If it doesn't work with them placed there doubt it will work when installing the modded driver (it is posible that other key files have missing code for legacy that can easily get you a bsod as soon as windows try to load it).
Doubt they changed that much Windows kernel in Win 10.
Faking the model how exactly? Something like changing the bios of a HD 4350 and make it report that it's a hd 5450 (because in this case core config is same 80:8:4)? If the architecture diferences are not that big it might work (still it will report dx11 support while that is totaly missing, if it tries to use something specific to dx11 it will not end up well).
I prefer xfce distros to be honest. I like that type of interface. Atm the pc behind me (i have 2 pc in my room ) ) is running Mint Mate Xfce 17.1 (ubuntu 14.04 lts based). I said about Ubuntu 16.04 because it's lts and because I hope they will move to Mesa 11.x (using ppas to update to a newer mesa didn't end up always well, totaly broke mate several times and I have no clue why I always fail to compile mesa from sources, didn't really stresses myself much to figure out what is causing the fails). I don't like non-LTS releases, even the LTS one has broken things from time to time (usually at release).
And I don't use the proprietary AMD drivers I prefer the open source one. At least the open source one still supports legacy cards .
Modified .inf for 15.11 beta (Radeon Crimson) http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5195212&postcount=153
So far the folder contains only one inf, but I'll upload more in the future
Added 15.11.1 beta (Radeon Crimson) C0297019.inf with support to the following Wrestler/Sumo cards:
AMD9640.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6550D"
AMD9641.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6620G"
AMD9642.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6370D"
AMD9643.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6380G"
AMD9644.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6410D"
AMD9645.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6410D"
AMD9647.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6520G"
AMD9648.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6480G"
AMD9649.1 = "AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6480G"
AMD964A.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6530D"
AMD9802.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics"
AMD9803.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics"
AMD9804.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6250 Graphics"
AMD9805.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6250 Graphics"
AMD9806.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics"
AMD9807.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 6290 Graphics"
AMD9808.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 7340 Graphics"
AMD9809.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 7310 Graphics"
AMD980A.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 7290 Graphics"
This thread deserves to be a sticky. :banana:
Hi.. I have a hd 6320 graphic card and I tried your method but it doesn't work. I Tried installing the whole packet, using device manager and even "forcing" the single driver file using "driver disk". I get an error about a wrong hash..
You need to boot in 'Disable driver signature enforcement' mode
Any modded inf available for 15.12?
Please post original inf
Here is the original inf (extracted from the Radeon Crimson 15.12 Windows 10 driver):
h t t p s : / / drive.google.com/open?id=0B-XFEBVrKmK1b2R3YjlSalBzenM
or if you have problems with that link:
h t t p : / / filedropper.com/c0296874
However, I couldn't get your modded 15.11.1 beta modded INF to work either - maybe because I'm not doing it right. I did try in 'Disable driver signature enforcement' mode, but with same results. Driver doesn't install.
Please try with this new 15.12. If you manage to get it working, can you maybe make a small step by step guide? Like, do you install it through Device Manager or just by the normal setup file?
Also, I'm not even sure the 15.12 will work... Read this. It could seem like 15.11.1 beta will be the last supported Windows 10 driver for the HD 6xxx series.
h t t p : / / support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy3&os=Windows%2010%20-%2064
Thanks so much in advance.

How to install:
1) boot in 'Disable driver signature enforcement' mode
2) replace the inf in
3) install drivers manually via device manager by choosing the folder containing the modified inf
I don't have Win10 installed on my netbook now.
Step by step guide to mod the inf or how to install drivers with modded inf? I can't do this currently as the only one external display I have is broken and not yet fixed ;(
The "guide" how to mod infs for those Wrestler/Sumo cards is here http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5174462&postcount=92
15.12 Legacy inf
If I well understand the modded inf is for the "standard" 15.12 driver, not the legacy one right?
Why the standard one? radeon-crimson-15.12-win10-64bit.exe
I prefer at this point stay with the latest legacy driver: Radeon-Crimson-15.12-NI-EG-64Bit-With-DOTNet45-Win10-Win8.1-Win7.exe
Here is the original inf:

Can you please provide a modded "magic" inf of yours for Wrestler/Sumo cards?
Thank you so much for all your efforts mysteriously
You are right. Fixed.
Also I always need C0*.inf as well as CU*.inf
The 'magic' is at the end of post above yours
Thanks, you're my favourite "magician" :thumbup:
Thank you very much for the clear explanation.
However, has anyone sucessfully installed the legacy drivers on Windows 10 with this new modified 15.12?
I can not get it to install, even in 'Disable driver signature enforcement' mode when I try to manually update through Device Manager.
Maybe something changed last time my Windows was updated - a very big update to say the least. Now running version 1511, build 10586.36.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with an AMD HD 6530D. Currently installed drivers are the 15.201.1151.0 from Windows Update.
Thanks in advance!
What error message appears?
For me all is fine installing latest beta legacy drivers (15.12) with your inf.
16.1 beta C0298105.inf mod for non-whql-radeon-crimson-16.1-ni-eg-64bit-with-dotnet45-win10-win8.1-win7-jan7 is available https://mega.nz/#F!ap5URawJ!QBwrFiK8rceOZDrspIwxwQ
It shows C0297971.inf in the 16.1 display dir. Is this correct?
Hmm, nope. What was the link you used to download the 16.1 driver? I used http://www2.ati.com/drivers/beta/no...4bit-with-dotnet45-win10-win8.1-win7-jan7.exe Is your OS x86 or x64?
