But yeah, I can imagine that to happen... imagine them giving away No Man's Sky with cola cans, they would get back up to 2 million players again (as in launch / sales numbers, that didn't last very long hehe)

 

Yeah. I got one too from my 290 purchase. Unfortunately I already buy a game before buiding this rig and my friend aren't even interested of BF4 free key so my key end up in trash can. Lol.

BF1 looks great btw and I think it's Ea side of thing to not put the main game as promo.

 

Talking about those times... The BF2 patches were sponsored by companies like Intel. Some maps were free, to apologize for the many patches. For some maps you needed to pay, to help finance the patches. From there on things went down hill.
