That's a serious nice Deal. DICE sticking to AMD over the years, always a good news.

Wow, thats a new level of marketing.

Force clients to buy Battlefield 1 FULL GAME ($60+) before being able to activate DLCs.

That's what happen when your graphic card is barely worth 3,3times the price of the game itself.

A bit dramatic, no one is forced to do anything with this.

$20 value IF you also spend and additional $60, which still doesn't bring the 480 down to its actual msrp, not with the prices I am still seeing.

It's nice. But it feels more like a way to sell more copies of BF1 than to add value to a price gouged gpu.

Remember the times when graphics cards came bundled with AAA titles?

Now both Nvidia and AMD bundle with DLC...
    AMD with BF1 DLC.
Nvidia with "DLC/Cosmetical items" for this Paragon game.

Hmm new? It's been this way since BF4, heck maybe even earlier with BF3.

This is actually a nice incentive, most will buy the basic game $60. Some will wait for the game+DLC to be on sale, but that will be a year out. But the ones who need to upgrade their graphics, and want to get the same asap, well this is a win for them.

I was just about to reply saying I'm not sure you realise the value of the Premium DLC but I've just realised its absolutely not the "Premium DLC" (4x packs)

but now too I also agree the promotion is a bit weak... more complaints will arise when the game becomes available I guess.

I think the pre-order stuff is exclusive and not available later but I'm not sure anyone cares when they dont really know what to expect from it. (in terms of content)

Very useful for the people that took the risk and got their card already..

Getting tired of AMD promotions. Everything else about the company is respectful (not just referring to this, dealt with this support for rewards more then a few times. They could care less).

SOOOOOOOOO.... i had bought my old asus strix 970 last year... i had a choice between assassins creed syndicate OR rainbow six siege. both were AAA titles worth 60$+ CAD.

now you buy a video card.. and get a 20$ DLC upgrade? i mean regular is 79,99$ and deluxe is 99,99$ CDN.... what a shame

So you are expected 60$ (us) newest AAA title to come up with 200-250$ GPU (mainsteam one)... Really ?

If you run AMD... do u want you company to broke or something... :bang:

Pizza Hut did a special with Battlefield 2, there was an absolutely huuuuuuuuuge influx of new players from that... those players were called "Pizza Hut Noob's..

Battlefield 2 then became a target rich environment..

    truehistorystory.jpg

Pizza Hut noobs still exist!!! :infinity:
