had something like this a month ago, it was a bad case of conjuntivitis caused by eye strain, the oculist prescribed some eyedrops (liquifilm tears) 2 days later it was gone.

go see an oculist, ye never know could be serious.

Where do you live and have you had allergies in the past (or present)? I have severe allergies and allergenically induced asthma as a result, so I know the feelign exactly,

I you get beyond the first giggling, the best non medicinal treatment for eye problems (allergies and minor infections ) is cooled teabags.
Just make a weak tea and either soak some cotton or use the actual used teabag and place on your eyes while they are warm, BUT NOT HOT.
repeat 3 times a day, it does wonders.

So yes, a good cure is to teabag yourself a little. With real teabags.

How true you are. I had almost the same thing a few months back, a friend said to try warm tea bags on my eyes for 15 minutes at a time, waiting 5 minutes in between. Took the swelling down and really stopped the iching and watering. Great advice.

    This.

Anti Histamines should fix you right up.
    It's that time of year,
walmart carries some Equate brands, which are legally required to be just as effective as the name brands.
You might have to try a couple different types, (not at the same time).
People react to different ones in different ways.

Save the benadryl for last. as they have the highest chance of making you feel tired (not quite the stamped term "drowsy).
Though i'll admit they make excellent sleeping pills. For many people, it causes them to feel naturally tired, without making them dizzy or light headed like over the counter sleep aids. So benadryl is often taken as a sleep-aid alternative.

If an anti-histamine doesn't clear you up, just go see a doctor, as it may be something more serious.
