Right so a few of you were asking for this on the general hardware forum, so here it is, my new build :D.

Starting with the bundle I bought of RPGgamesplayer (thanks for that BTW :D), swapped the mobo for a gigabyte X79S-UP5-WiFi (a workstation oriented board more suited to my needs) and bought a Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 case to replace my aging HAF-X. Took some photos during the build process for y'all to enjoy, so enjoy :).

Mobo/CPU/RAM (yes that is an LGA 2011 stock cooler):

I'll probably be taking some of the HDDs out to use my X58 rig as a home server, but for testing purposes they're staying in there for now. I may yet sell my old rig as I no longer have need for such processing power on a server really. Also in need of a bigger cooler for this, probably another Noctua or something similar for a 4.5ish GHz O/C. Got it running at 3.7 GHz on all cores on the crappy stock cooler so it is a pretty kickass chip.

    Comments below please. :D

That stock cooler is BLEH!, but I'm sure you'll be installing your own H100 (?).

And can't you swap out that PSU for something smaller? :D

Thanksyou, I do like my GFX cards. Did have 3 at one point but it was somewhat noisy. Sold the spare to hallryu. The PSU is awesome.

:D I had a H100i in my old rig but died on me, sold the replacement. Will probably go big heatsink, Noctua NH-D14 (like my old X58 rig) or similar. Custom water would be nice but it's just too much hassle.

I probably could but I went through nearly half a dozen other PSUs (Corsair 1200W, made a whining noise, 4 x beQuiet DarkPower Pro 1200Ws, 3 of which died on my, the 4th of which made a horrible hum, taking with 'em 2 motherboards and a hard drive), so settled on this, plus it helps to have a bit (700W maybe :D) of overhead. This one has been rock solid for 2 years since, though.

With regards to the case as some people were curious, nice to build with, HDD trays are very easy to work with, but the side panels are a bit of a pain to get on and off at times, and the space behind the motherboard tray is a bit tight for those larger power cables. Other than that, it's worth the £80 or so I spent on it, given the other option was a Corsair 750D at nearly twice the price.

    Yay :D

Next upgrades (when I get some more money XD):
    1) New CPU cooler/adapter for my old one (Noctua), assuming they do 2011 mounting brackets.
    2) New RAM, possibly, I might do a swap from the 2 GHz stuff in my old X58 rig (Dominator GT 9-10-9-27, 1.65 V), assuming SB can handle it, for at least 4 DIMMs of that.

Other thing to note is the case fans are really rather quiet with pretty good airflow. Some auxiilliary ones for the top of the case where the chimney thing might be useful. I really dig the built in fan controllers, comes with 2, each of which can handle 3 fans.

I'm really liking that case. Some nice images mate, and I'd do the same over the AIO water coolers. High end air or custom loop as far as I'm concerned.

Lol, that is one of my gripes with this case. Making it look as pretty as possible isn't easy. Those PCIe power cables can probably be zip-tied though.

Cheers. I've ordered the mounting brackets for my NH-D14, so that'll be going in when they arrive.

    Cheers :D

You're right, it is C2, just Coretemp playing up, it says Model: Intel Core i7 3930K (Sandy Bridge-EP) (ES). CPUz and HWinfo are both spitting out C2 stepping.
