So the crowd funding IS justified, right? Since you guys are being paid-out now.

Anyway, I just got this so my opinion is based on V3. It's actually good and more playable and accessible than AC or Autosport. Less "fakkin" about. Using xbox pad this game plays great. Not sure about some of the engine sounds in certain scenarios and also not liking the hard-lock-ups and unhandled exception errors.

Would like to see the bugs resolved for this game. For the discounted price of £24 it's a worthwhile purchase.

Started from beginning...Kart racing lol! But, surprisingly playable. Would love to see some Mario Kart weapon mods for this hehe.

Yes, it is justified. Especially with the interest rates as low as now, it even made sense from the financial side alone :D
Really a great project and it paid off in many ways already.

    Cool.

I just got started with some proper races in career. I think ultimately this game is more fun than other recent offerings due to the fact you can actually win with a control pad. On the other-hand, trying to drive in a thunderstorm in solo-mode is extremely hard and at the near all ultra settings and 4x aa/af totally batters my system. Turning aa/af off and some features to high brings it back to playable. I still can't do it though lol.

Lot's of playability here for a modern racer. Pleasantly surprised.

Patch V4 released. Loads of fixes and changes in this one.

I think the recent sale was the perfect time to get this game. Been playing it online with my m8 and it's been a very nice experience. GTX970 + 2K res screen = class. On my laptop it runs really nice with no aa/af. Hope they've fixed the exception errors.

    Good job guys!

I still really like this game/simulator. I find it much better than Assetto Corsa, pCars has way better graphics. pCars also feels more realistic than Assetto Corsa, especially when racing with the helmet cam view. They still update the game regularly. I am thinking of buying a Oculus Rift headset and maybe a better wheel than my G25.

Racing offline and especially online is so much fun. Doing a race online really makes you feel like you are really racing.

However, I have one negative point regarding pCars. They still have not added pitstop animation. It would make the game even more realistic. I doubt the pitstop animations will still make it to pCars though..

After playing pcars and forza motorsport 6 apex on pc i have to say the driving feel of forza is the best btw the two games. Pcars is good but forza feels better when ur driving from incar view, the cars have more weight and make the corners better. But anw thats just my opinion

I have tried the c7r in this game, assetto and forza, and I think the driving on Forza feels weird, way too smooth and easy... people say in other racing forums that there seems to be some kind of hidden steering assistance that can´t be turned off, I guess some kind of algorithms.

The trigger rumble is nice when playing Forza. That's all I want to say about it though :D

@vinnie: Yes, that's really missing. I love the rest too, though. Great driving pleasure.

I just got the game yesterday. I'm a bad driver and don't have a wheel so played with my Xbox 360 pad. I also have Forza MS APEX and here is how I compare the 2.

Since I have to use nearly full assists in both games, the drivability seems pretty much the same. There is a much bigger difference in handling between different cars in PC though.

Forza is much better looking. The cars in PC look great but everything else is bland and boring looking. The tracks and environments look much better in APEX. Probably because it's DX 12.

There are more tracks in PC and the career mode is much better but the car selection , to me anyway, is better in APEX. In PC, major brands like Chevy, Honda, Hyundai, and others are completely missing. It seems to be very Eurocentric in that regard.

I like both but actually lean a bit towards Forza .

i lean more towards forza for the better looking cars and environments same as u said, the driving is better with assists off in forza, however pcars is not a bad game by any means i just found forza a more driving sim centered game which turn 10 nails it.

With no 21:9 support or wheel support its not nailed yet.

Its a personal thing, but I simply hate racing with a controller in 99% of games.

Pcars is more polished game with a decent mix of sim and arcade.
Forza has the ability to be really kick ass though if Turn 10 makes the full commitmentt needed.

i think since the game is still in beta, which we will have the supports u asked for in full release, other than that i cant say anything bad or negative about the game, the game feels the same as the xbox one and the earlier releases of forza on xbox 360 the last game which i played was forza 4 on the 360.

I have never cared for Forza because of being on Xbox, and lack of proper wheels like G25 etc for the system.

The game does feel good, graphics are nice, sound is good, driving is good too.

Its a great start for beta on PC.

Well you can compare both games only if you ever played them with a controller. Plug a wheel in and things become very different. Basically it is – Forza if you want to chill with a controller, drive without concentrating much and look at some pretty, but baked, lighting effects; pCARS is more for the wheel user, that wants to race, drive the car on feel and deal with stuff like changing weather and/or time of day situations. Just my two cents..
