Alright, so my secondary HDD drive is fully shared.
    D:\

An example of my problem is my steam shortcut (using steam as an example, it happens to more than just steam.)
    should be
    D:\Steam\steam.exe

    But occasionally it'll turn into
    \\Chouji-hdd2\steam\steam.exe

You can see how that would be annoying, as it's trying to access the files on this computer, as if it was from another networked computer.

Anyone know what causes this and/or how to fix it? The drive needs to remain shared.. it's not really optional.

Easy to see why it does it as the shortcut is still valid that way.

My only suggestion would be to create the shortcut, and then go into the properties to make it Read Only to see if it stops it from changing it.

Thanks. It's not an ideal fix. Since it doesn't stop the original problem. But i'll take it!
I'd rather play with the shortcut, than have to deal with the confirmation messages when it thinks i'm running an application from another system.
