Problems with a new lcd monitor

Hi,
just bought a sony lcd monitor and a couple issues. one, this monitor wont display my bios. Two, in display properties 60hz is the only option to choose, no 75hz. I have the monitor driver installed and tried to reinstall driver 81.95. i dont get it. also running monitor from dvi.

 

ok figured out that dvi can only do 60hz anyways, but still puzzled about bios issue.
