Hey all. I was looking to build a new Intel system (moving from AMD), centered around an Intel Quad Core Q6600 and an 'MSI P6N SLI Platinum LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard,' with a BFG 8800GT OC 512MB.
I was wondering if I can get away with the 400W power supply currently powering my current AMD system (specs to the left) with no problems, as the only real change would be the cpu and motherboard.
I figured the cpu being 65nm would be power-equivalent to the AMD cpu I'm running now.
Am I thinking along the right lines, or am I missing something?

I think 400W is abit too low for such an uber system. Upgrade to a 500W or better.

It depends on the power supply, which you give no specs for.
