my parents had a bbc which i used to use can't remember name, but it had no hard drive and 2x5½" drives.

my first computer i actually remember was an amstrad tower with a 386 processor. i remember loading wolfenstein on this from 4 floppy disks in dos!

does an atari count as a pc ? i still have mine :D

Dude! I wanted a "Trash 80" so bad I could taste it when they first came out!!! The local Radio Shack kicked me out of the store from sitting in for so long writing programs in Basic. Partially due to the fact it was in the front window display at the mall where I lived.

    My 1st: :)

    Pentium 1 166Mhz
    32 MB Ram
4 or 8 MB Sis VGA 2D only
    1-2 GB hdd
    Soundblaster16
    17" CRT

    plus windows 95

Played HL 1 in software only mode lol

ASUS P/I-P55T2P4 mainboard supported officially only 75-200Mhz cpus.
Flashing the bios, mainboard was able to use a 450Mhz cpu. lol
One of the finest and best mainboards back then

First computer I could call my own, the venerable Amiga 500.

    First computer that ran windows:
    486DX/33 MHz
    16 MB memory
    Farhenheit video card
    1.2 GB Hard drive
13" NEC monitor that could do 640 x 480 resolution
and it was running windows 95

My current rig is a direct descendent of that 486 after five platform upgrades. No parts remain from the original.

started on a ZX Sprectrum 128k

followed by a Commodore64 (loved it to bits), then Amiga 500, Amstrad pc1512 which was pretty much a pc running MSdos 3.0 and then 80286 and upwards until my current rig.
