Hi, at the moment mine is running at 410/1100 with my current rig. Temps are 53 idle and about 72 stressed.

However, since i have my amd64 and new mobo, this is about as far i can pusch it. With my last rig( athlon xp2600@3200 and asus mobo) i was able to run at 420/1170 without a problem.

But i'm totally satisfied, games run very smooth.

i think you could easily run at Ultra speeds. About the Unreal3 engine, i dont think it wil run very nice at the current high-end cards. But eeh, when the games based on that engine come out, we talk late 2006, if not 2007. So dont worry m8.

410/1175 is my best truly stable clock. can pull 425/1200 for benching if im lucky. :p but theres a high chance of it crashing.

there has only been a few GTs that ive heard of unable to reach Ultra (400/1100) speeds.

I did 430/1200 last night with my PNY.
Pretty Stable too, max temp was 70c after playing Farcry for about two hours.
But i've backed it down to 400/1100 since then.

edit: forgot to mention, stock cooler, stock voltage.

I'm currently running mine on stock voltage, and it clocks & passes benchmarks with 455/1200. I'll mod a bios to 1.5V some time later on and OC further for benchmarking. But to be honest there isn't a hell of a difference in game performance from 445/1200, only in benchmarks.

    Stock cooling as well.

    45 idle
Haven't watch load recently, most normal gaming is 50's, but i guess its in 60's for some games with high AA & AF levels.

401/1150 , stock cooling. not a single artifact.
temps ~54c idle and ~67c load.

    Easy OC...

    Hi there,

I bothered some of the Gurus here with my unsuccessful overclocking of a 6800 GT some time ago :) Finally i got it stable at 400/1100 using Micketh's ultra-great BIOS (thanks again!! :D) But.. i decided to go further and find out why i couldn't push the speeds higher. After 2 whole days of testing, cursing, and testing again - i disabled Q-Fan and Cool & Quiet features of my ASUS K8V motherboard. As it turned out, there's nothing 'cool' about this cool'n'quiet technology. So now i run my GT at 430/1160 without any instability issues. 54 C idle, 74 C max. stressed (using additional cooling of course). I don't know how, but q-fan and cool&quiet were causing instability when OCing my video card. :) Got a good score jump in 3dmark05. and a nice boost to all games.no artifacts. no crashing. now i can die happy :D

P.S: i could go further, but there seems to be some 'protection' which doesn't allow me to exceed my current clock speeds. ''Your card failed to work at clocks you specified...blah blah'' and that's it. Nah, ii'll stay happy for a while wth this OC :D

Every day OC is below. I haven't tested for a max OC yet, but I think what I've got is a good stable, safe OC that performs quite well.
One a side note, how do you like my new sig?

think you need to make the picture a bit thinner. Mess with ratios.

I can get my 6800nu up to 440/900, which is pretty good. I know you weren't after this info, but i've told you anyway. Runs all games like a charm.

    Don't we all?? :D

I'm at 450Mhz and 1200Mhz on memory. Been stable for 6 months like that.

I think my card OC's to 450mhz core and 1200mhz memory too.

    I got mine at 415/1100 with NV5 49idle and 64 load
It can go probably another 10-15mhz but I use the coolbits autodetect and whatever it gives me I always drop it 15mhz each it gave me 432/1120 so I drop it so i am sure it will run good and I havnt had any problems at all with it.
    i got a 3DMark05 score of 5428

I have a BFG 6800GT with a voltmod to 1.4V, the card is clocked at 425/1100 at the moment with no problems with stability or quality. I'm using driver version 71.20 w/Coolbits 3D.

    3DMark 03 12,110
    3DMark 05 5,895
    Aquamark 03 55,560

I was very happy with the voltmod, I was able to OC higher with more stability than without, obviously (I'm an idiot sometimes), anyway I also have a NV-5 from Artic Cooling and that also helps quite abit.

Haven't seen a game yet that needed my GT to run overclocked but for benchmarking so far 421 MHz/1104 MHz.
