Just got a new sound system! So much better then switching between speakers and headphones behind the case, what a pain that was! Oh and it sounds 100x times better than my old 2.1 35w Altec Lansings! Enjoy!

TO be totally honest, about $200. (including shipping)

The receiver is from a good friend of mine who sold it to me for $75 (gotta love havening friends who own their own home audio business!) and the speakers ran me $89 from newegg.

And let me tell you these speakers are amazing for the price. I love tight punchy bass with warm highs and these defiantly deliver.

Isn't having a big screen awesome? Probably one of the best hardware upgrades I ever made was switching from my old 20.1" Samsung to my new 24", truly awesome! Plus the cost on these larger monitors seems to be coming down alot lately! By the way is 27 just the monitor number or is it actually a 27" screen (27" is an odd size LCD, that is why I'm asking)?

EDIT: Stupid question, just looked at the picture again and realized it'a a SyncMaster 275 and it's a 24" screen! Sorry to ask such a dumb question, with that said thought great monitor man!!! I should put some pictures up of my own rig soon

No, it's a 21" Syncmaster 215Tw! Since I fell in love with this monitor, I bought the same dale and the most near larger monitor I could found!!! Now, I use my 21" as a TV to listen some dump movies while I'm playing!!! I'm doom, I have to always have 2 screen going on, even if I just pay attention to one!!!

Kenny the larger monitor on your desk is only a 21", are you sure? It looks huge, plus what size in the smaller monitor on your desk?

Here is my setup, i'm not really into PC Gaming, but I bought a 30" inch dell for work, and tried to run far cry on integrated and it ran like horse crap, so i decided to get a new PC and let my comp nerd friend pick everything that would let me be able to run games on it's native resolutions (2560x1600). the monitor next to it is a samsung 204BW, 20" wide.

    farcry max

its literally life size when i'm playing shooters

my 40" inch HDTV is right to the side, which is usually on when i'm working.

bioshock maxed out on left, Moh airborned maxed out on right, just cause.

this is originally why I bought the monitor, cause I play poker online for a living, and higher resolutions = more tables.

that's about it i suppose. only thing that sux is I still live with my parents and tiny house, tiny room with 3 LCDs + Geforce 8800s, hot as hell!! def get the monitor if you can afford it (it's about $1500).

First post, haha. i'll be around as I learn more about PC gaming I guess.

    chesskid1,
Very nice setup you got there, oh by the way welcome to the forum! It's nice to have another new member, especially with such a kicka** computer! Well let me rephrase that, "with such a kicka** monitor" since we don't know what hardware you have yet, lol! When you get a chance fill out your system specs so that others can see what your running for hardware (plus if you ever need any assistance it makes it much easier for us to know what hardware you have). Take it easy and keep the pictures coming.
