I loved that old Alienware/ Antec case. I had one and it lasted me a good 8 years.
i usually just build my own desks, 3/4 birch or something. that way i can tailor the design to my tastes and how i set my stuff on it. I drilled holes under my mousepad and keyboard area so i can hide the wires and i now started cutting a shape that contours to how i sit but next time i think i'm gonna make my own slide out tray to support both a full size kb and mouse pad instead of having them sit on top of the desk getting more dust on them..etc and give a litthe more cleaner look. but a little time and work it saves quite a bit of money.
Couple of new pics :-
How old are the speakers and what soundcard are you using? You may be doing yourself an injustice with those speakers
Not sure how old they are, although I remember someone in another thread recently saying they were from 2001, only cost £2, they sound decent anyway.
I'm using an ASUS Xonar Essence ST, I have Beyerdynamic DT 150 headphones for times when I want nicer sound.
Also, I don't really have the space for full range speakers, so these will do.
I had an exact same type of Harmans, we got them around 2004 maybe. They were decent for those times compared to other cheap garbage PC speakers.
My blue corner in my living room ghehehe....
Home made desks ftw
Love it now I got rid of the wii I just use dolphin now
rig needs a bit more done but allmost finished
I known its bit messy also aint all done yet since i just moved anyway figured i post a pic.
*I upgraded my case from an Antec 300 to a HAF-X.
*I also upgraded to win7...finally, as you can see from the wallpaper.
*I have a Black Widow ultimate keyboard now as well instead of an el-cheapo logitech.
This is why I have a few pictures that are similar to my old ones, just to show how my gaming area looks with changed cases and positions and to show my new KB.
I moved the side intake to the top optional fan slot and put a red megaflow in the side intake. I drilled out the rivets and removed the drive cage. I only have 2HDD's and for me even that is overkill...my PC is a gaming machine only. I'm sure with the drive bay out of the way airflow will be much better. It also used to obscure a large portion of the window.
You plan to bring down the house, literally?
Better sound distribution.
Because of this crap L shaped lounge I'm using it seems to absorb soundwaves from the sub for the listener on the opposite side, so having 2 means wherever you're sitting, you get the best of the punch.
The Dark Night is so cathartic on the bass it makes me sick. I had to bump it down. I currently only have them at 30% volume each, at 40% I would cringe at explosions for fear the police would come on a noise complaint.
got to do cable management. Any tips ?
