As other said, that does not look like 30mb to me either.
I pay ~$15/month for this:
Wow, pretty good deals you got there..
Paying 27€ (which include Cable TV, Phone and Internet) for 100 Down/100 Up, getting 115/115 though. Can't complain.
God i love fiber
You're getting 6Mbps in that test, try a few different servers to be sure, but iirc there is a law in the UK where if you are not getting a 'Within a certain range' speed, you can get out of your contract without any charge, and I'd would guess that 6meg on a 30meg line is below that range
I was looking at Vodafones new broadband offer, fibre without line rental
Never even heard of Relish, it's something I'd put on a burger
I have a 50 Mbit 4G connection and I get between 20-30 Mbps on average.
Though with 4G and other wireless connections the nominal speed isn't that much indicative of the true speed as in landline/cable connections.
I assume this is what you have?
Real speed depends on signal strength and such.
Wish our ISP became more affordable..I pay 60 usd for my Internet and hell not even close to what I see with you Gurus..
Landlines suck, my 24 Mbps gives just 8. The providers give unrealistic values in adverts and are due to fix their approach.
ADSL landlines suck, FTTC landlines are great
Advertised 76/18, get 75/18
My FiOS connection is far more stable and considerably faster than my 4G connection. My 4G connection never reaches it's max speed whereas my FiOS connection regularly exceeds the advertised speed.
...aaaand I was right. I only had the 1/gbit/1gbit connection for 5 days before they changed to the right speed
The quality of internet connection today is so important, that if i ever moving again the first thing i will look for is a good fiber connection.
We are lucky here far out on the countryside that we got founding from the government to get it, without we would never have got it (and now there is a more "right" wing party in charge, so they cut a lot of founding for infrastructure.)
There would never be economically profit for a company to build fiber outside of cities.
(And i refuse to live in a city again, the traffic/noise/people make me puke.)
Yeah that's the best possible scenario. Living in a secluded area, all the internets one can have, snow outside. Lovely.
They start to bring better and better internetv (cable) on the countryside here as well. But sure, my 1gbit/0.5gbit for ~12euros a month is only available in the cities still.
Upgraded our 4G modem to something modern.
On the other hand, some people who could care less about living in the country side, get to pay for you to have fiber out there. Money to build that fiber network doesn't magically poop out of a unicorn butt. Someone pays for it.....And contrary to popular belief, fiber internet is not a right, it isn't even a necessity. So basically they pay for your luxury item. I can't believe those "right" winger nut jobs aren't jumping up and down to do this for you. Also, can't believe people want to make a profit!!! Sheesh!! I am sure out there in the country side you donate all the money you make from your job, and never keep any of that filthy lucre.
Btw you should keep your political commentary to yourself on forums.
