Yea, ADSL2+ was what we had before too, it was horrendous lol

I got mine installed when they were sending out separate router and modem, so I have the white OpenReach modem, then it was supposed to connect to the HH3.0, but it was cr4p and kept disconnecting, so I replaced it with my own running DD-WRT

Quite pleased, because I'm not sure how many Router/Modem boxes are supported by DD-WRT, last I checked it was mainly just routers

I've got TWC Ultimate 200 which has been great now that i got rid of my buggy as hell Moto SB6141 (black OEM version) and bought a nice new SB6183 (white retail version). No more T3/T4 timeouts, dropped connections, etc.

Latest Ziggo upgrade, from 200/20 to 300/30 Mbps for 'just' 4 euro extra. Received a new modem (Technicolor TC7210.Z) to be able to achieve that speed. Doesn't seem noticeably faster though, except for Speedtest. Or my astraweb has to be upgraded too :D

EDIT: overall browsing experience has improved I think. Still testing ;)

Looks like my ISP is stepping their game up. Their "Ultimate" plan just got bumped from 200mbps to 300mbps.

    All for the same price.

I'm not paying much less than you and I have to fight with Verizon regularly to keep my pricing reasonable. Verizon's customer service has become quite horrible lately. They seem to have no interest at all in keeping customers. I'll likely be switching providers when my current contract is over.

    Finally got fiber :)
Live a long way from any city and before this i only had outdoor long distance wifi 5/1, that was so unstable i could forget to play any games in bad weather (80-200 ping). And before 2004ish i only had good old isdn.

It is expensive as heck , but i do not care. (no alternatives)

I have fun running the speed test. What my results are, depends on what I'm using. My Acer laptop only gets around 18Mbps down, 13Mbps up....my Levono laptop gets around 35Mbps down, 32Mbps up....and my desktop gets the results in post #1111 above. I need to bring my Asus laptop home from work. It has an Intel Network 7260.HMWG wifi card in it so it should get close to my desktop.

Had 75/75 mbit until today. I called my ISP and asked to get their 300/300. For some reason when I tested the connection I received an unexpected gift from them. I think its only a matter of time before they realise their mistake :(

    Internet Speed Test

I've just had the internet installed at home.

The company is called Relish. Reason for choosing Relish is because no landline is required since I've not had one is years!

It is supposed to be 30mb. Whilst I've not done too many downloads, I just wanted to make sure the results I'm getting are realistic and close enough to 30mb as the company claim. As usual, they say speeds UPTO!!! Meaning it could be 10mb, 20, etc.....

I've had 10mb internet in the past and the 30mb internet I now have feels like 20mb, not 30.

Here is an speed test I took from www.speedtest.net.

That's well below 30Mbps..... Here's a speedtest I just did for comparison. I'm paying for a 75Mbps symmetrical FiOS connection.

I pay for 30 and usually get 36-37, even over wireless. TWC here.
