Upgraded to 150/50 Mbit LTE. Not too bad for 15,78 €/month. No download limits. With some bad ass antennae I bet that 100 Mbit would be quite close.

Our modem supports only 100 Mbit at max though.

Lol... I forgot to enable the bundled antennae. Proper results:

Wired would always be nicer but then again... Latency isn't too bad.

If you have 150/50 on a 100Mbps router, you should be getting 100/50 or close to it wired

Yep but it only supports LTE speeds up to 100 Mbit and it has 100 Mbit wired ports so 100/50 is theoretical maximum for internet speed in all usage scenarios (wired and wireless). It has wireless N support but in this case it wouldn't allow higher speeds (and in practice it can rarely keep up with 100 Mbit wired connection).

    In practice, not too bad:

That download speed is 100Mbps easy, so your speedtest was way off :)

    I get 8.9MB/s download on a 76Mbps connection

    Not really, 80,8 Mbit = 10,1 MB. ;)

Hmm my bad lol, not sure what was going on with my maths there, need more coffee :D

EDIT - Weird, the converter says 76mbps = 9.5MB/s, but speedtests tell me that I get 76mbps, yet firefox downloads tell me 8.9MB/s max

They are definitely the same speeds because I have netspeedmonitor on my taskbar, and it shows the same speeds for tests and downloads

There is a certain amount of compression based on the files being transferred - that can make your numbers look a bit off.

I still can read, but the process of reading is becoming digital with my kindle. So wait, it's good that kindle has a great battery but even this... Someday we'll get completely paralyzed once the power goes out.
